Freeman is currently the oldest player to be selected in the entire draft. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Astros' 7th rdr Michael Freeman was oldest player in the BA 500, but he should move quickly if he goes to pen.</p>— JJ Cooper (@jjcoop36) <a href="https://twitter.com/jjcoop36/status/608364723600539649">June 9, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
should not "feel" like one, Puerto Rican players are american citizens and we are in the draft because of it, not INTERNATIONAL PLAYERS AT ALL.
We can also spend 800k over the allotted pool money, so that can be thrown into the Daz salary. Daz has already said he's thankful for being an Astro and that it's time to really work. I dont think the Astros would have taken him if they werent 98% confident it would be a done deal.
FIGHT ON! This guy has potential. I've seen a few games from him this year whenever I got the chance. Voted Pac-12 defensive player of year. First team all-conference. Batted .330. I'm all for this pick. Could be a a great get.
Astros need to sign these seniors so that they have enough money left over from the actual Slot, to pay Cameron. Because if the player does not sign, there goes 100% of the slot money out the window. So, I am thinking that he Astros are getting confirmation from the agents that they are going to sign under slot deal. At least I would hope that Luhnow is working the deals ahead of time.
Don't worry about the Astros being able to sign Daz Cameron. The Astros are very confident they will sign them.
Round 9, Pick 259: Zac Person, LHP, LSU A third senior in a row. Pronounced "Pearson." What is it with Louisianans pronouncing things differently? 87-90, big curveball, lefty reliever.
I appreciate your optimism. Will definitely rep you But it will still be a huge relief when all the players sign.. I
