    harden is talented but he is just soft and folds under pressure. Only time he preformed okay during the playoff is when we had the lead. in the clippers series he was liability. please don't compare him to Jordan or Lebron. Will never be on their level. Ever.

    Rubbish post. 99% of players will never be Jordan or LeBron. Curry just shot 5/23 last night in the Finals, he must be soft and folds under pressure too. You know: the guy that won the MVP and led a team to 67 wins? Harden dropped 45 points in the WCF when our backs were against the wall and it was an elimination game.

    Everything about this thread is so depressing. So many shorthsighted, and pathetically defeatist fans. Harden has shown consistent improvement in his time here, and has gotten us further than we have been in almost 20 seasons. Yet people are so quick to write him off for what he will never be.

    I'm glad clutchfans wasn't around in the late 80's -early 90's, because I can't imagine the amount of crap Hakeem would have been getting. He sucks, he's unmotivated, he doesn't make his teammates better, he's nothing without Ralph Sampson.

    But sure, let's just write off Harden, he's never gonna elevate himself :rolleyes:

    Wow, STUPID post!!!

    How is Harden soft and folds under pressure? He has pretty much carried the Rockets vs. Dallas. He came up BIG (not big) vs Clippers in Games 5,7 (both elimination games) and in Game 4 vs. Golden State (another elimination game) - these are just a few examples, he has had several great games during the playoffs.

    To say he was a liability in the Clippers series is just wrong (and just don't bring up Game 6 again, like so many others - everybody has bad nights, even the LeBrons, Durants, Currys of the world).

    For some reason the Clippers have been Harden's kryptonite. He has been bad against the Clippers for his entire career and as a Rocket.

    Here are the regular season stats vs Clippers (14/15 season):
    35.8 FG% (13.3 FGA)
    24 3FG% (6.3 3FGA)
    87.8 FT% (10.3 FTA);
    5 REB; 7.3 AST; 0.5 BLK; 1.3 STL;
    20 PPG

    You want every player, especially your best players to step up in the playoffs and want them to increase their output. Well Harden did just that (and hopefully he has finally figured out the Clippers)

    Playoffs vs Clippers:
    40 FG% (16.8 FGA)
    35 3FG% (6.8 3FGA)
    91.7 FT% (10.4 FTA)
    5.6 REB; 8.1 AST; 0.4 BLK; 1 STL;
    25.4 PPG

    Also don't underestimate the impact a James Harden has on the opposing team's defense. Harden is on the floor, everybody else gets good open looks!!

    That means he has to mention tmac because james harden passed him up in rockets ranking like a horse passing up a snail.

    It means tmac fans are jealous like Tonya harding on Nancy Kerigan.

    It means you are fake rockets fan because everybody knows tmac is no leader, Benedict Arnold was a better leader than him

    It means, with a poll like that, how in the hell does this stupid thread have so many replies? Yeah, I know, I'm not helping.... but hate when I see it bumped, and it already was, so I finally vented.

    Not funny thread is not funny.

    Tmac was the better talent but Harden is the better player if that makes any sense.

    And then he was on the bench during an elimination game so our team could dig its way out of a 19 point deficit.

    And tmac was on the bench half the season or at the bench at Tim Grover's office when we were playing the Lakers in the playoffs or on his sofa this time of year every year.

    Makes perfect sense. Tmac was naturally one of the most gifted athletes ever.

    He just never took full advantage of his gifts. Settled for 20 footers way too often and all the injury problems.

    Harden has taken full advantage of optimal strategies and already done more than tmac ever did as a Rocket. Harden seems to work hard every off season to add new elements to his game as well.

    "IT" also means whoever started this post is absolutely CLUELESS to the subject of basketball. "Derp let's trade Harden *derp derp*"
    Why do I waste my time even clicking on these things. From here on out if the "subject line" is dumb, chances are the post will be just as dumb !!!

    am i the only one watching lebron in the finals, without kyrie and love, thinking "harden did this all year"? lebron is the more gifted athlete, but the court vision, decision making, ability to make his teammates better, and arguably thriving under a system that's under-manned (which harden did all year) is just having me like, "yo, everyone's (rightfully) freaking out about lebron, but harden tho." don't forget lebron made that cavs game a one-on-one match between him and harden and harden won that match up, and would have won it even more convincingly had the refs tried to not tie a bow around a W to cleveland. just an observation.
