Before this, my best speculation would be a deal that had Walt, Los, and Cato plus picks leaving, landing us Swift and Miller (who we could in turn trade for Kandi). We'd be able to resign Taylor, AND sign Mutumbo (both Falk clients), giving us a crazy deep team. I'm starting to get that Reef feeling again. Reef for our roleplayers and picks? Too good to be true. If you're Vancouver, who goes-Bibby or Reef? If you can get a scorer, obviously Reef. Will Vancouver break up their beloved Arizona backcourt? If they would what team possibly has a PG that could replace Bibby, and is unhappy where he's at? That would be Jamal Crawford, with former Kelvin Cato head coach, Tim Floyd. Want to really bomb your team? Send Bibby and Reeves to Chicago, Reef and Swift to Houston, (Houston frees up pick) get Chicago's 1st rounder, as well as 3 of Houston's picks, with Crawford, Fizer, Rogers, Walt, and Brad Miller. Cato to Chicago. Result? Crawford-Dickerson-Fizer-Othella-Miller, THREE lottery picks (2 likely top 3 picks) in one of the deepest drafts to come around in awhile, no more Reeves, or bickering star. Chicago gets their PG, as well as 2 more big centers, both of whom have the potential to be pretty good players. Why there's a 99.99999999% chance any variation will not happen: Vancouver wouldn't have the balls to trade it's top 2 players and it's high potential star, especially not to the same place they sent Francis. Chicago gives up its 2 lotto pick rookies, and a lotto pick this year. Does the potential of Reeves and Cato, and Bibby's talent make up for that? ------------------ The Serious Police are watching. Are you sying that Chicago would take on the contracts of Cato AND Country? ------------------ Kenny Thomas had a foul called on him in the Western Conference Finals.
If anyone would it would be Chicago. They don't seem to have much luck on the free agent market. ------------------ Don't come in Bullard's house!
Just because you have extra cap space doesn't mean you should just fill it up with dead weight. ------------------ Kenny Thomas had a foul called on him in the Western Conference Finals.
ah forget it, Chicago doesn't have quite enough cap to pull that off, and wouldn't give a pick to do it. Long shot, and heavily biased, but I wouldn't be too surprised if both Reef AND Bibby were sent packing. There's no real names this year that I could see going to Chicago, and maybe Floyd can help Cato remember how to board. For kicks though, how does Abdur-Rahim, Abdul-Rauf, William Cunningham, Kevin Edwards, and Doug West for KT, Bull, Walt, Los, and Cato with picks sound? Hakeem gets his good buddy Abdul-Rauf, we get nothing but free agents and Reef (the others were starch) Van. gets to add a few players who won't complain about leaving. Vancouver should trade their stars for good picks in this year's draft. Why won't Doc drop us another cookie? ------------------ The Serious Police are watching. Follow the rules or be assimilated. I've been waiting for that cookie for days. ------------------ Kenny Thomas had a foul called on him in the Western Conference Finals.
manage expectations folks. If Cato is gone, then the trade season wasn't a wate. Anything extra is candy (w/ a y not an i for now). ------------------ I keep plugging away, but I just can't get a 3 way to work on realwife.com

Perhaps that means Vancouver is going for a small solution only and not going to shake up the whole team.
Sounds real noble live, and you DO have my admiration for your nobility, but i would rather have the Grizzlies as our farm team, or to be more direct, our b!itch! Send talent our way folks! We appreciate it! ------------------ "Dream another dream, this dream is over... Dream another dream, this dream is over... The thing is, Grizz management is gonna blow up the team, at least to some degree. They might keep Bibby and Dickerson around and try to construct a Rockets-type team, strong in the backcourt, but that's a maybe. Probably the front office in Vancouver is paving the way for a one-way trip to St. Louis. This would be best for the team and for the NBA. Players won't flee screaming from the thought of playing in St Loo. TV will show up, too. But that's two or three years away. The team needs to cut payroll badly and can afford to lose a good player like Reef to a conference rival (if the deal meant getting Reeves outta there, which hopefully would involve Chicago or Miami in a 3-way) because the Grizz won't really compete for awhile. In the meantime, they're looking to shake up the mix. If that means Reef for us, Reeves for someone else, then by all means, let's be "charitable." ------------------
Wow, it's shaping up to be an absolute HORRIBLE situation in Vancouver, which is a shame because the fans deserve better. I had wondered if the Grizz could trade Reef and Bibby at essentially the same time and get away with it, but they might not have any choice. My advice: 1. Drop a bomb on the roster, obtain picks and start over 2. Get Versace OUT OF THERE!!!! Isn't Chuck Daly associated with that organization? 3. Find a coach and STICK WITH HIM!!! ------------------ "ON-BEE-TAH-BULL!!", Hakeem Abdul Olajuwon, alumnus, University of Houston
