Ugh Harden shooting commercials and not in the practice gym? Why can't he dedicate himself to the ringzzzz?
Makes you realize how much the current Rockets jersey hides his build. I remember Matt Bullard talking about it quite often during games, but I thought it was just him being a homer.
Oooohhhhhh it's the offseason!!! Should I bring back the thread on the anterior pelvic thrustor whatever it was!?!
That's what's so frustrating about listening to sports talk/fans of other teams (hell even our fans)... it's like they all got dementia and forgot mj averaged ~8 fta's per game for his career... Hell in that 87 season he had a game w/ ~27 fts... 27!!!! I know harden takes the contact and in some cases forces the defender into a bad spot, but he's so skilled/strong that people always thinks he's flopping, no... He's forcing the defense to mess up, exposing the ball, getting the hack, and still getting a shot off. If harden was playing back in the day he'd have no problem adapting, he's so strong he'd be fine. He'd probably even be able to get away with running some guys over occasionally. I mean harden definitely could take those hits like Jordan did, he's not Mr. Glass...
Just guessing here, but it was much rougher, looser game back then, so he might just murdered with no call on all his drives. Then again, the top five on the all-time list span the 60s to the 80s, so who knows?
Thank you. I am so sick of the narrative that Harden shoots so many more free throws than anyone else. James Harden shot 10.2 free throws per game this year. Russell Westbrook shot 9.8. Harden shot a lot more total free throws but that was only because he played in a lot more games. Does that extra 0.4 free throws per game really make a difference? Is that really the difference between the media bashing Harden and saying that his game is terrible to watch but Russell Westbrook (who's team missed the playoffs) had one of the best seasons of all time?
