Top 10 Moments of the 2014-15 Houston Rockets season

    I know the season ended in disappointment, however; the Rockets basically finished 3rd out of 30 teams which is an extremely great improvement from last year. So before we go crazy about what the Rockets need to do in the offseason, let's look back at the great moments from this past year!

    1. Game 6 comeback vs. LAC
    Maybe the best Rocket moment ever (not including the championship years)

    2. Beating LAC in Game 7
    Home crowd was electric, everyone played well, completed the 1-3 comeback.

    3. Rockets win Game 4 vs. GSW with crazy 1st quarter offense/45 points for Harden
    Although the series ended in Game 5, this proved that at our best, we could actually beat this team. Harden with maybe his best game ever...followed by his worst, but we won't get into that :p

    4. The Josh Smith/Dwight Howard alley-oop show vs. DAL in Game 2
    This was just continuously, insane fun! The alley-oop couldn't be stopped!

    5. Rockets beat Lebron and Cavs in OT
    This was the biggest regular season moment. On national TV, on a Sunday afternoon, at home. Lebron played great, but the REAL King James played even better.

    6. James Harden out plays Westbrook in OKC down the final stretch of the regular season.
    This was a battle of great MVP-like performances, and also put the Rockets in great position for the 2-seed. Also on national TV, on a Sunday afternoon.

    7. James Harden gets his first 50-pt game vs. DEN on the night they celebrated the '93-'94 and '94-'95 teams.
    With all the great Rocket championship players sitting courtside, James Harden scores his 1st 50-point game!

    8. James Harden career-high 51 points vs. SAC
    Harden wins the battle vs. Boogie Cousins (who almost had a quadruple double)

    9. James Harden buzzer-beater vs. PHX
    It's only number 9 because it was against Phoenix, in January...but still a wonderful moment for the Beard.

    10. Josh Smith debuts on Dec. 26th and Rockets win in OT at Memphis.
    What a great late Christmas present, as Josh Smith shows why he was brought here.

    Game 3 vs the Mavs, Harden goes off and hits the dagger step back that bounces in.

    Love the deflated Dallas crowd when it dropped.

    Great list! I would replace 10 with the first win against Dallas and Parsons. Great take from Harden over Parsons in the last seconds of the game.

    Completing that comeback after all the trash Barnes talked was phenomenal. And then putting them out the next game. Amazing.

    I would add:
    Clinching the SW division with a win against Utah at home and a loss by the Spurs on the same day.

    This is the salve that will help healing. Outstanding list in the OP. It was a great season.

    How about demolishing the Heat by 36 in January. Holding Wade and Bosh to 15 points each. Harden goes for 15 in the 3rd quarter to put the game out of reach.

    December 3rd. Game against Memphis at home. We went on a huge run, i remember there where several plays in a row where Dorsey had something like block, putback then again some strong dunk. It has to be in top 10.

    I liked that game in San Antonio where at the end of quarter DMo made corner 3 and immediately stole the ball, passed it to brewer who banked last second 3 pointer. 6 points in couple seconds

    I was at this game. The atmosphere was as electric as any playoff game and it felt like the Rockets grew up in this game. They took punches, threw some, and were the last ones standing. The outcome was especially sweet with all the Lebron jerseys in the house.

    Not the greatest all star game, but Harden represented the team well. He was definitely in the ASG MVP conversation before WB started chucking up shots and racking points up. Definitely a highlight during the season imo
