Title says it all. Legit 7 footer. 7'5.5 wingspan and 9'5 reach. These are comparable to Shaq and Cousins.

He has good footwork and is very mobile for his size. Also plays above the rim and is a terrific defender. If you watch some videos, he has pretty good form on his shot, so he can develop a mid-range shot in the future.

The only problem is his past. He has been kicked off 2 teams and has many off the court problems.

Still, the talent is crazy. I'm not sure Morey would touch this guy after Royce, but this is like Whiteside part 2. He is currently projected as #25 on draftexpress. I'd personally take a gamble on him.

If you're okay with his past, how high would you draft him?

We probably wouldn't take him seeing as we already have Dwight now and Capela seems to be our center of the future. Plus, the behavioral issues.

He definitely has potential. Maybe the Warriors pick him up, but other than them I think he likely goes to the second round.

This guy makes Sean Williams look like a saint .

Luckily we drafted Swiss Blitz last year, and don't need to worry about a prospective big [IMG].

Wouldn't touch with a ten feet pole. Cokehead who stole laptops to buy drugs and couldn't stay sober for just one year to get paid.

I just have a feeling this is Whiteside part 2. If he goes in the 2nd round, maybe he won't learn until he has bounced around a few times.

If this guy stays off the dope and gets his personal life straightened up...he'll be the next Whiteside. But that's a huge unknown.

BTW, this kid is a much better defender than Capela is right now. Don't know what Capela will grow into but this kid is a dynamite paint defender.

Take at 32 if we haven't traded that pick by then.

I don't think I would take him at 18 as that would be quite a gamble.

Exactly. He can be Whiteside or Sanders. But in either case the team that will draft him won't be the one to reap the benefits. So if you want him better sign him for cheap in 4-5 years if he's still trying to play in the league.

If an athlete has a coke habit in college then that is a giant red flag. I hope we don't use our #18 on him.

Pretty good risk/reward in late first round. Grab him as fast as we can in second round.

If he was so much better than every opponent they had in college should only be scoring 10 pts. You're seeing him dominate inferior competition whereas Capela has been playing in the DLeague, EuroLeague and NBA all of which have a higher quality than the NCAA. Beasley averaged 20-20 in college, Thabeet averaged like 5 blocks a game and that dude with the moustach made MJ believe he would be the next Larry Bird.

Dude, he DID dominate competition. Just look up his stats. 10.9 pts, 8.2 rebs, 4.5 blks, yes 4.5 BLOCKS per game while playing under 25 minutes.

That's not dominating? Come on man.

As a point of reference, Thabeet's per minute averages were lower (4.5 blks in 32 minutes) and beasley averaged 12 rebs in college.

That's dominating college but not to the extent that he's better at defense than Capela, I'm just responding to Bballholic statement. How are those stats supposed to indicate he's a better defender than Capela right now when guys who turned out to be NBA busts like Beasley and Thabeet posted better or similar numbers?

Capela has proved to be an average NBA backup center, that means if you put him in college right now he'll give you NBA 2k numbers easy, in fact we saw this in the DLeague and Dleague is even tougher than the NCAA. The more he posts the more I realize bbalholic seems a bit out of touch with reality, first the Rox are not contenders despite finishing 3rd place now this random college dude is a better defender than someone who has been experiencing defending actual NBA players as opposed to unathletic college kids.
