There should seriously be a Vice President note.

I agree. I like Tubman for the $20 and I'd like to see all the remaining bills and coins with Presidents on them changed. Armstrong is a good suggestion.

You said "notes", so I only mentioned those.

I thought he resented banks, and ****ed up the economy and Dem Party founder Martin Van Buren's presidency because of his feud with Biddle.

No one will ever use bitcoin. It's as close as you'll get to an online casino, that's the appeal.

I like to think I stay up on current events, but seriously, when was this vote and what were the choices?

I can't believe I either didn't hear about this or just forgot.

Apparently someone made a website with a poll which leads to social media proclaiming "America has decided!"

Anybody but Andrew Jackson is good with me.

Dude was bat **** crazy. He had a temper from hell and basically threatened to fight anybody who disagreed with him. He also committed genocide multiple Native American tribes, most notably the entirety of the Seminole in Florida.

    From Wikipedia:

    [rquoter]
Jackson's quick temper was notorious. Brands says, "His audacity on behalf of the people earned him enemies who slandered him and defamed even his wife, Rachel. He dueled in her defense and his own, suffering grievous wounds that left him with bullet fragments lodged about his body." However, Remini is of the opinion that Jackson was often in control of his rage, and used it (and his fearsome reputation) as a tool to get what he wanted in his public and private affairs.

Brands also notes that his opponents were terrified of his temper:

On the last day of the presidency, Jackson admitted that he had but two regrets, that he "had been unable to shoot Henry Clay or to hang John C. Calhoun."
    [/rquoter]

Calhoun was one of Jackson's Vice Presidents. Clay ran against Jackson in one of his elections.

In summation, Jackson was bat **** crazy, and an embarrassment to the history of the United States. He was notable because he did a whole bunch of stuff as president, but pretty much all of it was an embarrassment to the history of the USA.

I'd rather see Richard Nixon on the $20 than Jackson.

Is there a reason why strip clubs seem to have all the two dollar bills in America?

Jackson was one of the most important figures in US history, well deserving of being on the $20 bill.

That statement could be made for many people and a portion of your fellow citizens may disagree with you.

How villainous people think historical figures are changes over time. Jackson seems to be at a low point at the moment. But, stocks do rise and fall over time. Jackson's rep may be rehabilitated in the future. When this means for currency depends, I think, on whether this portraiture is cheap or dear. If it's cheap, go ahead and drop him. It'll reflect the times, and we can always reverse ourselves later. If it's dear, think very hard before dropping him. Personally, I think the portraiture should be cheap. Put Michael Jackson on there. What does it matter?

I am sure there are people that would disagree with me and they have that right and I understand the basis for their objection.

I do not agree with everything that Jackson did or believed in. However he had an enormous impact on growth of the USA and his beliefs and policies played a huge part in shaping America.
