For everyone saying Jimmy Buckets - are you saying we trade Ariza?

How exactly do you think this is remotely a possibility? He's going to get Max money from LAC and that's it.

I said Jimmy Buckets because he's the one who reps Tomball.

Other than that the only way Jimmy Buckets doesn't resign with the Bulls is if suddendly he develops a extreme hatred to Chicago and a strong desire to sign elsewhere by all means neccesary. Then he could blackmail them into taking the QO and force them to agree in a S+T so they get an asset back and he won't go in a year for nothing.
Which of course is a fantasy and it won't happen.
So no Jimmy Buckets in Houston.

I'd trade Ariza in a heartbeat if it meant getting Jimmy, I think many others would agree.

Would be wiling to move DH out if it meant we could land DeAndre.
Gotta make room for the future. Dwight's better days are behind him for sure.
I'm sure plenty of teams would still love to have him roaming the paint.
Maybe flip him for a playmaking PG.

    Just thinking out loud

We'd have to move Dwight. Trade him somewhere.
He still has value. So many teams are starved for an inside presence.

Time to say hello to the future and goodbye to the past.
Dwight can't even make it through an entire season anymore.
Didn't say it would be easy to land DJ. Just looking at the future.
He's a FA. NOW is the time to work some magic if we want to stay relevant

Seriously, everyone is saying this and acting like it is self explanatory. Are people hoping he replaces Ariza? Go big and play him and Harden at guard, having Butler guard point guards?

Personally I think we need another guard who can create and knockdown shooter.

Morey will probably shoot for the stars once again and try to find trades in place in case LMA or Love feel like coming to Houston.

I would love someone like Brandon Knight for this team.

Also, not a free agent, but man Mike Conley would be such a great fit for this team...

My point exactly. While he may be from tomball I highly doubt he made the statement he reps tomball not Houston. If he wanted to come "home" and play well then that would mean Houston. Haven't seen anything saying he does want to come back to Texas just making a point here. Makes me think those two are not actually sure where tomball is.

Milsap would be another great candidate.

Maybe he is sick of Atlanta?

You need to chill with all these condescending posts.

But also that was me, and I actually said Robin Lopez would have to and that even that was not enough to get him.

Morey will go after a star PF probably and not a Millsap type player.

I also see Morey chasing Butler and Lowry.

Outside of that. I don't see much big happening unless its a trade or depth acquisition.

The Rockets can clear caproom if there is someone they really value. It would require moving players like Ariza and renouncing some guys, but it is doable. If Kevin Love or Aldridge told Morey they wanted to sign with the Rockets; a deal would be made to clear cap space. So while it is less likely, it isn't impossible.

I suspect it is more likely he is at Josh Smith's door and works out a deal for a PG like Lawson or deals for a PF around the time of the draft.
