Right before I opened up this thread I was on Rockets.com printing out their schedule and going through it to make my prediction. What I have written down on the bottom of that printout is: 49-33 6th seed Just ahead of Phoenix You, sir, are a genius in my book P.S. - The logic I used was to break the season down into eight 10-game segments with a 2-gamer at the end, and just looked at it 10 games by 10 games instead of individually. What I came up with was... 1st ten: 6-4 2nd ten: 6-4 3rd ten: 5-5 4th ten: 7-3 5th ten: 6-4 6th ten: 5-5 7th ten: 6-4 8th ten: 7-3 last two: 1-1
Here's my prediction: 1. Lakers 2. Spurs 3. Kings 4. Timberwolves 5. Mavericks 6. Suns 7. Rockets 8. Warriors 9. Clippers 10. Sonics 11. Jazz 12. Nuggets Rockets record will be approx 48 - 50 wins.
the difference is that most of our rivals in the WEST had better offseasons VIA trade/free-agency. Although I'm optimistic about this coming season, the truth is that we havent done Jack Shi*et getting people to come here. But than again we have ways to go before the season starts. The Lakers, Spurs, Wolves have gotten much better this year.
We win the first three, it builds confidence in the players and they go on a rampage the rest of the season. 82-0.
No that's not at all! Have some confidence will you Rockets fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE ARE ELITE!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAMN IT!
We make the playoffs in 8th. position in the West with a season of 49W33L.but this will only happen if we have a Starting Small Forward and dont try to force Piatkowski, who is a Shooting Guard, to play Small Forward.[Boki too inexperienced and Rice is cooked].
Some of you guys are way too optimistic for your own good. For the past 4 seasons I always started thinking like that, that we would surely be on the playoffs. Now I will take a more cautious, wait and see approach, and spare myself of possible disappointment. The Warriors are going to be improved under Mussellman, even though they lost Arenas. The Clippers are probably going to be a force to be reckoned with under Dunleavy and with players signed for the long run. Seattle won't be that bad either, with Lewis and Ray Allen. Phoenix has a better line-up than us with Amare, Marbury and Marion. Portland still has a lot of talent, with Randolph and Woods headed for a breakout year. Barring roster changes, and expecting us to lose Posey, I predict that the team will probably make the 8th seed, with Phoenix being #7, but the Rocks will have to sweat to get there. The Lakers, Kings, Spurs and Wolves are greatly improved, it won't be that easy to sneak up on them for a few wins... and Dallas still has our number. Spurs Kings Lakers Wolves Mavs Blazers Suns Rockets 45-37 Just being realistic here.
56-25-1 The Rockets and Knicks in a defensive struggle to end all, play to the leagues first octeple overtime game which ends in a tie when the remaining 8 players(4 from each team) call the game due to exhaustion. High scorer for the game is Cuttino Mobley, the only player to finish with double figure points for the game.Box score: ---- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 -------- Hou 7 12 6 5 3 7 10 3 53 NYK 4 14 6 6 3 7 10 3 53
