What players do we retain from this season, and who should we replace them with? I'm sick of the lack of consistency from some of our role players.
Harden, Howard, Ariza, DMo is the core. NJ and KJ are young guys you keep. Everyone else is expendable.
Don't forget Capela. I would also keep Bev at the right price. Papa I would trade to Philly or Milwaukee so I can get a 2nd round pick back. I would keep TJones until the Feb trade deadline. We don't know how well DMo is gonna play post-surgery and rehab.
I knew I forgo someone. Love Capela's upside, but you've got to bring in a legit backup center and a legit 2nd scoring option.
I would cut bait with Smith, trade TJ and try like hell to sign Aldridge. Perhaps TJ can be part of a sign and trade with Portland. Let's send TJ back to his hometown.
I admittedly don't know the cap situation well, but ideally... Keep: Harden, Howard, Ariza, D-Mo Try to Keep: Smith, Brewer, Beverley/Terry Trade Jones and Pelicans pick for a PG upgrade like Lawson if possible. Rockets need to have some roster stability. Don't really overhaul a team that got to the WCF.

One other thing, find a way to get Eric Gordon, who is a great 3 point shooter and good ball handler.
