Harden had an Olajuwon type game, and I agree with the OP. Not even mad. With the lack of help Harden and Howard had, it was incredible that we pushed the game to the last seconds. The comeback and our big two during that comeback were startling. The team now believes they are never out of it. We have to have some good game planning though. They are never going to let James have a last shot, so what will we do when the double-team comes?
During the playoffs, our crowd has been electric. You couldn't even hear yourself think game 7 against the Clippers. I'm not worried about our crowd.
Nope. I still think Warriors are a better matchup, pound for pound. I fully believe we can win, however silly that might seem to an "outsider."
You couldn't have said it any better. This team has played their hearts out and I have enjoyed every second of it. No matter what happens, this team is my team!
Harden is playing like Jordan out there. Only Jordan, Oscar, and Harden have averaged 27/8/5 in a postseason. I have no doubt he will win a title.
Tough loss. Tough way to lose. But LOVE, LOVE the effort! That counts so much! Makes you proud. Rockets are down 0-2. Maybe they are just setting us up again for.....CLUTCH CITY! ;-)
A series doesn't really get kicked off till the home team loses. Rockets know they can hang with Golden state. Now they have to hold their own home court advantage the next two games.
No you are not.

Last time a team came back from 2-0 hole in a conf final? GREAT THREAD Op!! Totally agre! The way I see it, we have put together two 3 game winning streaks, one in each series, it's time to put together a 4 game winning streak!! GO ROCKETS
in the postseason Lebron has only gotten to 8 assists per game once and he only averaged 25 points that year. McGrady and Drexler also pulled off 27/8/5 but they did it over only 1 round and then were eliminated.
I was thinking the same thing, being realistic about taking four in a row, but to be honest, winning 2 at home, taking the next in GS, and coming home with the away win and three in a row might make taking it in 6 easier than thinking we can drop one and somehow not get jobbed in game 7 at GS. Have to win the next one, and just keep on doing it.
Ain't nobody gonna beat us in my head. I dream every night we beat the cutie warriors by 40. I kid. I kid.
I love this team, and I agree with OP 100%. What tremendous effort and even if we don't win the chip I feel this team will forever be remembered in Rockets history. This TEAM has grown so much since game 5 of the Clippers series. The Warriors are a damn good team.
Even if we get swept, people will respect that the games were this hard fought. And even last night, ESPN was saying "This is a battle. Don't expect the sweep." You could tell that the Rockets are starting to earn respect around the league. After those two straight blow out losses against the Clippers, I was afraid for this team. If they had went into the offseason knowing they blew it like that - not only do we enter negotiations with guys like Bev, Smith and Brewer in a weaker position, what free agents would be lining up to join a team that lost like that? But instead, they had one of the most epic comebacks in NBA history - overcame a 3-1 deficit to move on to the conference finals, and have played a historically good team in a total battle for two games so far, and Beard is looking like the best player on the planet. I'm not even mad at that.
Howard and Harden have really earned my respect. I too love this team. Their effort and resilience against better opponents is the stuff of legends. If they play like that I can't ask anything more.
