reggie sanders would be that right handed power hitter off the bench. Just wondering how long his contract is for?

I thought he signed a one year deal. I dunno why they would need to package him in a deal. According to ESPN.com, he's signed for $1 mil this year.

    Interesting.

Sanders is having a good year- he launched his 21st homer last night, haven't really looked at his other numbers. If we were able to trade Doggie, he'd be a pretty good short term fill, or if we kept him, an excellent RHPH.

D'Amico was pretty promising for the Brewers, but I think has had injury troubles. Not sure what his contract is like.

Only like 4 hours to go, right?

D'Amico would hurt himself in the airport in route to the Astros. Just say no, the guy IS AN INJURY. Let's get Vazquez

Yes, I'm so tired of waiting.

I love that we have recent history (Johnson surprise deal) to suggest that a deal may go down. It's fun being a player in the trade market. Not so fun when you're left in the cold like the Rockets with their cap woes.

Baseball tonight is having a special show the last hour of the trade deadline. I will definitely be listening very close to what Peter Gammons has to say.

With Oswalt likely done for the year, I'de prefer against giving up a big bat for a rental.

i'd rather keep what we have than trade for a player thats only going to be here a few months (johnson, m williams, etc..).

i know its not the best option, but cant the astros move someone out of the bullpen (dotel, lidge maybe?)?

Freddy freaking Sanchez for Lyon and Suppan?

Epstein is a very good GM. Or Littlefield is a very bad one.

He just got a quality starter and a quality lefty reliever for Freddy Sanchez and a swap of minor leaguers. Littlefield does realize this he did this, right?

Sauerbeck and Suppan for Sanchez and a minor league swap...unless that minor leaguer the Pirates got is a stud, they just got hosed. At that rate, Ensberg probably should've landed us Suppan, Sauerbeck, Benson, and Wells.

Some rumors of a StL/Seattle swap of Drew for Garcia with some extras thrown in. I hope we can land Ponson. :(

Some guys on the Fanhome website are reporting they heard Hildalgo for Ponson is a done deal. Fan Home- Astros.

Of course you have to take this NY radio report with not just a grain of salt but a hole truck-full. :p

Littlefield had to have been told to just dump everyone otherwise that trade is completely r****ded. Freddy Sanchez isn't worth a ham sandwich, well maybe.

My friend from Milwaukee saw him before the 2002 AS Game at a bar, totally smashed. I also heard from another source (cannot remember which) that Garcia has been in a barfight or the like.

What's ironic is that Garcia hasn't been the same pitcher since the 2002 AS Game. Partly because his arm died out after having to pitch in the AS Game on like 1 or 2 days rest (reason #324342987 why the game was rightly cancelled).
