Nah, master the dream shake. How amazing would it be if he mastered the dream shake and we get to see that on the court again on a nightly basis.
Well said... I'm trying to hold back my excitement for his current play... But especially his ability to develop. I don't think anyone from Clutchfans to Morey to Mchale expected he would see ANY minutes this year. But I like everything I've seen from him, including his shooting mechanics. Should be fun to watch this guy front he rest of the post season and beyond.
Capela doesn't need to shoot, we have Dmo at the four next to Capela, long term. Dmo makes the dream shake, here comes the help, throws it up for Acapella...bang!
our expectations are just so low..... smith has one big gam people claim he's the reason we in the western finals like if a consistent PF was not there we would've been worse.. prigs dribble the ball ok... oh wow we finally have a REAL PG LMAO !!!!
Dmo is the shooting big as well as the anchor in the middle do to his weight and mass compared to Capela. Notice how you don't have to be the top defensive big in a twin tower if you have the great mass.. it works as Capela can be the weakside shot blocker. Dwight just happens to be both at the moment due to his mass.
I love the kid's grit and determination...refused to be a stash player...wanted to start learning the NBA game now. That's the best and fastest way to learn, but it takes the strongest character due to the high probability of experiencing various failures. Only a person with superior internal drive can overcome the disappointment of these early failures. As far as his development, I just want to see some fundamental simple stuff like a base line jumper or baby hook. Be consistent with that first and he can develop moves around those. Last thing I want to see is him doing all these moves and spins but missing the finish.
Capela is currently listed at 240 lbs. Another 15 or 20 lbs of muscle snd this guy will be a terror on both sides of the ball. He is already a terrific shot blocker, not limited by weak side blocking either. With soft hands, Capela's potential is truly unlimited. As a prospect, he may already have surpassed D-Mo as the most coveted young Rocker asset, especially give D-Mo's back injury.
Clint weighed in right before the draft at 222 and has clearly put on some muscle since then, however I'm not sure 240 is accurate. I do see that is his listed weight everywhere now, but does he really look 18 pounds heavier? Anyway, I think he should play at ~245 this upcoming season, because we don't want him to gain the weight too fast. It should be a gradual process. Besides, 245 would put him right between Chris Bosh (235) and Hakeem's playing weight (255).

Out of DMo, Jones, and Capela, I feel that Capela has the greatest chance of becoming a borderline star. That may only be because I have less feel for Capela's ceiling limit than the other two guys, but he certainly has shown raw athletic potential in his first year. Plus, Capela showed some cajones during the playoffs. Nothing seemed to phase him, whereas I can't say the same about Jones and DMo. That poise and mental edge could help take his game to the next level.
