I know its early on in camp and its highly likely to change from day to day, but I was suprised at a couple of things on here:

James Allen playing with the 1st team??

    Matt Stevens 1st team???

Allen will no way be 1st string. That goes to Stacey Mack. I have to say our group of wide recievers look really good. Gaffney is in the perfect position to shine as the slot reciever this year.

Yeah he did. For some reason, I thought that we signed a safety during the offseason so nix what I said about Stevens (even though he still stinks).

He's not getting much. But he got a signing bonus more than Wells. So that means Wells is the man to get cut. See ya!:D

Wells won't get cut. Davis is injured right now for 6 weeks.

So what if Davis is out for 6 more weeks? Mack, Allen, Davis, Hollings. Wells is out there trying to return punts, he can read the writing on the wall.

Mack, Davis, and Hollings will definitely not get cut. The choice will be between Allen and Wells. I'd like to give Wells another chance since he's so young, but Allen does give you some veteran experience.

Cut Allen...he showed nothing last year..i know the O-line was way over matched throughout the year, but Allen just didnt show to me that he is a NFL Running Back...

I think Wells has the goods to become a poor-man's Eddie George..he certainly looks the part..

Hollings could be the real deal...I hope he doesnt rush back too soon....no need for a hurry on him..

I heard Wells say at the end of last season that he needs to get in better shape. We'll see if he meant it or not.

Why is Derrick Vaughn (sp?) not even listed as a kick/punt returner? I thought he was having a good camp with a couple of return TD's.

Mack brings the veteran leadership to the team. I say take a gamble on Wells. Though he didn't produce last year, our OL sucked, and I believe the Chronicle said he's been working harder to get into shape. Plus a year under his belt can't hurt. We already know what Allen brings to the table. But Wells has the "potential" to become a good one.

Allen may have a good year with the Bears, but with the Texans, he just doesn't seem to fit. We should trade him, if we can, or cut him.

And Wells/George have that Ohio State connection...that has to mean something!

Even without Davis, I think that the backfield of Mack/Wells can be quite formidable. As long as the OL improves just a little bit, our running game should be much improved, and help open up the passing game a lot so AJ and Gaffney can run wild.

I don't really see us getting rid of Allen seeing as how he was our best recieving back and he will be our only outside running threat with Davis out.

What's with the pub Dave Ragone is getting? When we drafted him I didn't think he would make the squad. I was watching the Texans Special on 13 and they said Quinn will most likely be cut. Even Quinn admitted it. I know he's a 3rd rounder but he's getting interviewed and having segments on him like he's a star.
