The injury wasn't due to his body breaking down, it was a freak accident. Blow to the knee. And he just beat Jordan and the Clippers.
Compare Dwight pre-injury 1st Quarter 6:26 left - put back jam head by the rim to Dwight post-injury 2nd Quarter 5:16 left - great position, no vertical, missed put back tip
It is supposed to be today. Rushed. I know little of that, obviously, because I have no idea who Dwight's doc is. But, word of mouth, coming from Dwight's bros around the league is that he thinks he can tough this one out, from his own communication and feeling. As much as the media hates Dwight, the league doesn't hate Dwight. His friends are super supportive. I'm hoping this is right. Either way, in the position we're in, I think Dwight will do everything possible to play, even limited. You have to remember earlier in the season. There was a point that Dwight considered shutting it down (Yuck, Tmac words), but he got a second opinion, as well as the support of his close friends to press on. He's a trooper. More if I know.
Sounds good, but I'll wait for the MRI before my big sigh of relief. Codman and AJ, thanks for the info and keep it coming. This is why I love CF.
Unless there's some actual damage to the knee, I can't imagine him shutting it down. Worst case scenario, maybe he sits out Game 2, but even that seems unlikely with us already down 1-0.
Golden State will need Draymond to take less money. Hard to keep a team like that together nowadays. I'm sure Cuban will offer him the max at a strip club somewhere. I thought the refs in the 2nd quarter helped dictate the tempo. The Warriors had no answer for us up until the whistles started flying but I'm sure Harden will have games this series where he goes to the line 20 times. Dwight/Smoove/Harden is about as unstoppable a trio as you'll find due to Smooves passing ability. He was the reason we beat Dallas and LAC. If he's on then we don't lose to anyone. Period.
Howard at his best is way better than Jordan. Faster ups and more aggressive and keen in every way. Now I know why he's worth $23 million a year overall.
Means something, but isn't everything. I remember in 2007, Andre Johnson's knee didn't swell after he got injured, but he ended up still missing like six or seven weeks. Waiting for official word.
Thanks for the update, sounds promising ??? Dude, even this much info is good. Nothing is official yet, obviously
