The hard pill to swallow is that some of those turnovers were because the refs swallowed the whistle.

No foul called...turnover...Warriors get out and run and score a easy 3 or layup.

They sure looked a lot more beatable @ home than I expected, but I believed before game 1 that now is the time to steal one and we can still do it. We'll make adjustments and I still believe containing Curry is key.

Warriors are so cocky, all of them. I hate them so much, would be the best thing ever to take down these golden boys of the NBA.

The way I see it though, Warriors can come in to game 2 and blow us out of the building still. Each game is different. I don't think any more or less of the warriors after game 1. I think Rockets just need to stay focused and execute, limit the runs at all cost. They need to go back and see how Curry is getting so wide open for those 3s, I'd rather their role players beat us than Curry because his open looks are like 75% makes. Rockets need to stay focused and execute for 48 minutes, do that and this will be a very competitive series.

I agree and I'm sure that's why my cousin was talking so much trash in the Bay. He doesn't like Harden (complaining about acting out fouls etc.) but there's no denying Harden moving around a pretty solid defender in Klay really gives hope to what we can do despite the unfortunate possessions like Smoove's TO's (good idea but PLEASE be sure someone's there next time), D12 hurting, or JET's bricking open shots.

You can see the frustration in GS's faces and really there are only a few things I think we need to really work on next game:

-Obviously just keep a hand in the face of Splash Bros
-Stop Draymond from getting the place energized
-Possible two screens to get Harden a mismatch

Ariza was a saving grace and I don't think gets enough credit for what he did last night on both ends of the court. Other than that, I thought we played well enough to show GS isn't invincible.

I'm feeling that way too. One reason I'm not so upset about this loss as I am about some other losses. Outside of Harden and Ariza the rockets didn't play their best yet kept on fighting and kept it close. This game very game could've very easily turned into a GS blowout yet it didn't. A few things go the Rockets way and we win the game.

That said I'm not sure the Warriors played their best game either but yes they are beatable. It will take more than just two Rockets to play in top form and if the Rockets play like they did in the last 5 quarters of the last series we can beat the Warriors.

How far away does that pathetic Clippers game 1 seem now? This squad believes in themselves and they have a great chance of advancing.

That first quarter is how we need to start every game. Even if we don't split these first two games, I'll be confident going into Games 3 & 4 knowing we wore down this Warriors team if we play with the same energy in Game 2 that we started with last night.

That's why I'm so pissed. Refs dictated the flow of the game, obviously called their way back into it for the Warriors to come back, which obviously would allow them to have a good chance at winning the game.

    Would like to add:

    - Dwight - catch an entry pass for the love of God. It's like watching Asik again

I definitely agree, GS is very beatable. We just need to continue to expose their weak interior defense with our bigs. D12 and Smith should be able to dominate the paint. I'm proud of how we came out. I think there might be some fatigue factor, Sunday game and Monday flight, with all the sloppiness. But the Rockets should be able to shake most of that off and be ready for Game 2. But definitely, very beatable.

Rockets have certainly benefited when being down 20 and getting some favorable calls by the refs to help us get back closer into games. Even last series.

I think what's tough about what the refs did yesterday is that perhaps to the refs, it looked like it was time to help the Warriors come back in it and keep the game close. The thing is a 15-point lead is an earned margin by the Rox and the style and nature of the game / match-up is that the Warriors can very easily come back on their own, and it's for the Rockets to build up that margin and maintain the lead. It shouldn't be decided by the refs to make it more close just to make it more entertaining; if it's an NBA mandate to move the Warriors on which I doubt, then nothing you can do about that - equivalent to wrestling. We very well know we need to build up that margin to withstand their comebacks; it's a flawed approach by the refs to try and help with that process --> I understand trying to keep it close, but it STILL is close even with that huge earned margin already, you give them the game with that sh***y officiating.

That being said, Rox had lots of turnovers and gave up way too many open shots. No doubt, but it hugely stemmed from being screwed by the refs. Account for the defense falling apart and the turnovers, but give us some calls and don't call some of the B.S. ticky-tack fouls, and we have +10 to 15 in that 2nd on top of our initial lead.

With the help of Shawn ALLSTAR CALLS Livingston. I swear Livingston was getting tons of questionable calls in that 2nd.

OP yes agreed. Turnovers and a big out for that stretch were tough. Coach had the team right there, road game home game who gives a crap ? excellent.

They were REALLY poppin the first 16 minutes. Sounded like a YMCA game. Sneakers and McHale hollerin was all I could hear.
They are beatable, and are not all that.

    Go Rockets !

Fix the D rotations and we're good.

This game would have been won with full-time Dwight. We would have won with Beverly or DMo too.

Was I the only one that heard Harden's arm get slapped hard enough to register a sound on TV in a loud bar and the refs just called it out of bounds on the Warriors?
