The best part is he has Dream himself to teach him and the kid just may be athletic enough and young enough to really benefit from learning from Dream. There will only be one Hakeem the Dream but Capela could develop into Dream lite which would be an amazing player. I am excited about his future. I am glad Morey didn't use him as trade bait.
He measured 6'9.5 in 2013 at age 18. I would imagine that's he's grown a little since then. http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Clint-Capela-6359/
The best thing is Capela looks like the type of guy who ill bring it all every game instead of Dwight who brings it sometimes. That is my biggest issue with Dwight is he takes to many plays / games off. I guess I am spoiled to Dream who brought 120% EVERY time he suited up. I see some of that in Capela.
Capella should've gotten more minutes in crunch time compared to TJones. Terrence was just having one of his usual off games, while Capella was just a game-changer.
Kind of like Serge Ibaka. One of the few bigs athletic enough to go out and do a good job guarding on the perimeter. I think Ibaka is an even better, modern comparison. Both so raw when coming into the league but actually showing surprisingly good BBIQ defensively and offensively.
I am officially on the Capela bandwagon. He's the real deal. He looks so natural out there. It's not just his hop. It's not just his body control. He just knows what to do in the game. He just needs to bulk up, learn a jump shot. The Rockets have lots of big man tutors, Dream, McHale, and Dawson. I'm sure he'll learn the footwork.
I was excited about Capela's future until I saw this thread. The OP is one of the worst people on here at player analysis. He thought Josh Smith was garbage. Hopefully Capela can overcome being cursed by justyanks.
