Anyone watch this? I caught this last week while my roommate was watching, and to my surprise, this show is really good! It's kinda like Trading Spaces mixed with makeovers with some humor thrown in. Some of the comments the gay guys make towards the straight guys are hilarious. There's one guy who's over the top flambouyant, but I can tolerate him enough to enjoy the show. If you haven't watched it yet, it's on Bravo channel, 9pm CST every Tuesday.
I remember hearing about this, but I don't watch Bravo. Sounds funny though, maybe I'll check that out sometime.
I'm totally addicted to this show. The first four episodes have been consistently funnier than most sitcoms. Plus they have really good ideas, too. I think the thing I like best about it is that, in spite of all the joking and silliness, it really has a good heart -- the "fab five" are just trying to help the straight guys be better versions of who they already are. Last night's episode (a guy was proposing to his girlfriend) was really sweet. I was genuinely happy for him when she said yes.
Bravo Channel? Never even heard of it. Maybe we don't have it up here. I'll have to check for local listings.
BRAVO is a pretty decent channel. They show alot of classic movies (like The Natural) and most of the Cirque Du Soleil stuff.
It's the same exact show. NBC owns Bravo or something. They just replay it. It's been stated that something like only 51% of households in Houston have cable so a lot of people would miss this show otherwise.
Great show! Very addicting. It is just hilarious! I think it is only 30min on NBC but it an hour long show on Bravo. So catch it on Bravo if you can. I think the best part is the end when the guys citique the "straight guy" at the end. Funny stuff! "Cheers Queers"
Don't these gays realize that the principles that our forefathers founded this country on makes in entirely acceptable and preferrable to have a populace comprised of horrible dressers whose apartments are furnished with box crate coffee tables? Where's John Wayne when you really need him?
I'm not gay or anything... Not that there's anything wrong with that... I have to agree, this is the funniest show on TV right now...Just the comments and comebacks and just the whole premise of the show...I would recommend if you want a good laugh...
What is the point of that Jai guy. The only thing he does is hang around the other members and pretend he's useful and necessary. While the Interior decorator is busy building the set from Gone with the Wind, the "culture" guy is practicing I love You in Armenian.
He does seem a bit extraneous at times, doesn't he? I can imagine there would be times he could come in handy -- maybe for dance lessons or how to use the right silverware at a formal dinner. But he doesn't seem to have a clear-cut function in every show. Same thing with Ted, the food guy. Sometimes they seem to be pushing it with him a bit -- will EVERY episode have to end with a romantic dinner? Thom, the interiors guy, kills me. He is so pissed off by the squalor of all the straight guys' homes. I thought he was going to pass out in last night's episode when he saw the fake stained glass plastic covering the windows -- especially after he found out the straight guy wanted to keep it. To his credit, Thom managed to make it work.
Jai was in the first episode but in #2 and #3 there was a black gay guy named Blair in his place...I wonder if he was replaced and the eps are being shown out of order.
I'm still kicking myself for not seeing it yet, but it comes on tonight at 9:00. Then, they're showing three episodes on Saturday. I'm gonna catch it this time.
