You may already know that Adobe bought Cool Edit Pro from Syntrillium. They're calling it Audition. Even though it doesn't seem that Adobe bought Cool Edit 2000, they're still allowing people to upgrade to Audition from Cool Edit 2000 for $99. Same goes for Cool Edit Pro 1.x users. That's significantly less than Syntrillium's upgrade to Cool Edit Pro 2.0. Just thought some of you might want to know. http://www.adobe.com/products/audition/main.html
That actually sounds pretty cool. I edit video on Adobe Premiere and have enjoyed it. I'd like to start messing with some higher end sound programs. Thanks TJ.
I'm guessing that people who are interested can still buy Cool Edit 2000 for $69 (www.syntrillium.com) and then upgrade to Audition for $99. That certainly beats the $299 price tag of the full edition of Audition.
We have Cool Edit Pro 2.0 here at the station and it makes production so EASY. Its a great program and I hope Adobe doesn't screw up CEP too much.
Thanks for the heads-up!!!!! I've had my eye on the Pro upgrade for some time but it was way too pricey. This is great news.
