Rockets is the only NBA team with 4 legit shot blocking bigmen in rotation. It means we can have 2 good to great rim protectors all 48 minutes. This is huge advantage even against GSW or CLE/ATL. How do you think we can better utilize this? On a side note, we also have several league leaders in stealing the ball.
Sometimes it hurts when both Dwight and Jones go up for the block and that forces guys like Harden or Ariza to outrebound guys like Bogut and Deandre.
i feel tj's mindset isnt right, even in game 7 at times. the kid is very talented and always plays hard, but it almost feels he's playing timid (is cautious a right word?) and scared in the playoffs. idk why. you cant say it's all experience. e.g., his foul on jordan which gave them an and-1 towards the end of game 7. you either let go or give him a hard foul. mchale needs to fix this b4 the wcf starts.
I couldn't agree more with this right here. I was arguing that Smith should have started in Game 4. Talented, absolutely - good footwork defensively, decent shot blocker, good rebounding... but when he puts the ball on the floor it looks like my 7 seven year old trying to keep his defender away from stealing the ball. He doesn't have court vision like Smith does, so his passing ability is lesser than Smoove's; on the other side of that, Smith's vision sometimes proceeds him and he ends up stuck in the air trying to kick out a pass too late, resulting in a turnover. I think Jones's confidence grew somewhat in the last 3 Clipper games, you saw him spark the offense with 3:04 left in the 3rd in Game 6. I feel like he's buying into the whole "team-first" mentality and not worrying about if he's gonna get the start, which is great. Hopefully he just plays steady, plays hard, and doesn't try to get too flashy. JUST WIN!
Dont even brag about this. Gsw shoots 3 pointers first of all. And dont let Harden know about this, his defense might take another dive if he knows this.
