Ok, this is far fetched and I dont even think it is happening, but it could. First of all think about the L.A. Feud. Lets say L.A. wanted to deal. Lets say they decide to deal Shaq. What would they want that we have Capspace and Picks. Chris Webber would want to play in L.A. He almost got traded there once. What if we swapped Olajuwon and Some picks for Oneal. I love the dream, but I would be partying.

This is just dreaming and whatnot, and im not saying i think this is what is in the works. But what if. L.A. has to do something........... I

    1. The lakers are not trading shaq. period. they would trade kobe before they would trade him, and they aren't trading the ballhog wonder either.

    2. the lakers don't need cap. if they wanted to get rid of shaq, they could get ANYONE for him straight up. even webber.

    3. clutch said EVERY rocket fan would be partying if the deal went down. That must mean hakeem is NOT part of the deal as there are people who wouldn't be partying no matter who we got if hakeem was dumped.

    4. i like to dreamcast as much as the next guy, but try and at least keep the dreaming within SOME reasonable logic. this isn't far-fetched. it's IMPOSSIBLE.

That's why I think it's money for nothing and your chicks for free.

Cato goes away. That's reason enough to start partying...

I'll manage my expectation at that level... anything extra is icing.

    Great Dire Straits reference Achebe.

Don't forget that if we REALLY want to party, Walt should be sent packing too!

And Los, though a nice chap and good role player, must go for cap purposes.

If that is accomplished, LET THE PARTY BEGIN IN EARNEST!

Then the perfect deal would be Walt/Cato to the Heat for Majerle/Ceballos/Davis & we waive Dream as he requested to sign with Miami. It works cap wise. Dream is happy, Miami makes a run at the title with a rent-a-center, & we dump more salary & end up with a young SF.

Now, if we could just guarantee that Stern was on vacation somewhere that doesn't have any media contact at all. How about that island that Tom Hanks gets marooned on? [IMG]

Oh yeah... one other thing about the quote:

There is a different sort of party than what we've been discussing. [IMG]
