    Not sure if serious...

You're saying it's okay to knock GS simply because of their name BUT it's ludicrous to mention MJ when speaking of Rockets' championships.

Exactly, because since we performed so well last playoffs, they had us ranked #1 this season.

    Hyperbole running rampant around here

How can y'all forget Indiana Pacers?

But Golden State isn't even the real name of a state.

I am loving the disrespect. It reminds me of another team from about 20 years ago...

I'll be more nervous if the national media started to love us and rank us a contender. No bigger jinx than a media love for an unproven team. GSW (who's also unproven) can have all the ass kissing they want.

California is also known as Golden State which is the most populous state in the United States and the third-largest by land area, after Alaska and Texas.

It is probably equivalent to California Warriors and Bay Area is where they play.

I prefer anything to 'Utah No Jazz'. TBH with you.

Oh, there's several like that- ones that made sense with their original locations, but not when the team relocated to another city but kept the name.

Vancouver Grizzlies? Of course. Memphis Grizzlies? Huh?
Minneapolis Lakers? Yep. Los Angeles Lakers? Los Angeles Beachers?
New Orleans Jazz? Sure. Utah Jazz- yes, Utah No Jazz. LOL.

Great post, I enjoy listening to others for entertainment, but validation is not needed for me. I only care about wins and that ultimately makes me happy.

but this is the selfie / twitter generation dude.

look at the rap music they have now, they have Drake , we had NWA.

You have people dissing on Kenny Smith, but don't realize that he played in the era where you could hand check.

Could you imagine hank checking now??

The more I see and hear on ESPN the more I realize they don't know what the hell they're talking about. It's like a big echo chamber catering to New York, LA, Boston, and Chicago. They keep rolling out the same ignorant buffoons year after year like Bob Ryan, Bill Plaschke, Ramona Shelbourne, JA Adande, Frank Isola, Peter Gammons, and so on. Garbage.

I like the snubs because the Rockets always seem to do better when they are snubbed. It makes me want to show people they were wrong, so from a competitive edge I like it.

But I don't really care and don't expect anything different. The sooner the team and all of the fans realize the only ones we can really count on is ourselves the better it will be.

I can imagine hand checking now. Redick did it most of the series.

I like being the underdog. All my favorite Houston teams have always been underdogs at some point.

True underdogs. Nobody and I mean nobody is picking us to win. Most don't even think we'll compete predicting we go down in 5 games. 19 sports writers at ESPN and CBS. All 19 picked GSW. We have nothing to lose here. Nobody believes in our team. Hopefully they have taken notice and just go ball out and have fun. Make them believe...make them respect you.
