What's wrong with that? Hill's out, and Robinson's having a great year.

ok so starting in the West is Shaq, Duncan, Webber, Kobe and wife beater. Gary Payton, Kevin Garnett, Rasheed Wallace are all very deserving of reserve spots and should get them. The remaining four spots should be interesting to see. I think one of the spots should go to a Dallas player either Nowitzki or Finley, another to either Stockton or Malone and McDyess should deserve serious consideration considering the Nuggets are winning and he's dominating. The final spot will probably come down to Francis, Stockton, D Robinson and Jamison. Here's how I think the reserves should look:

    Kevin Garnett
    Rasheed Wallace
    Gary Payton
    Antonio McDyess
    Dirk Nowitzki
    Karl Malone
    Steve Francis

I don't think Karl Malone deserves to be an all-star this year. Did you watch that game on NBC today when they mentioned how many bad games he had? This hasn't been a very good year for him and there are more deserving players. I would put in both dallas players before either malone or stockton.

Steve's chances are very Slim especialy if Adelman coaches the Team , GP deserves it more , And Derek Anderson will probably be chosen over J Will and Steve

DEREK ANDERSON!?!? [IMG] What has this guy done to deserve an all star spot? His numbers arent great and the only reason he's even doing half way decent is because he has 2 big ass 7 footers in the middle.I hope you are joking. By the way, the all star coach doesnt pick the reserves, all coaches vote on who the reserves will be. Also just because Derek Anderson had more allstar votes than Steve doesnt mean he will get in.PLLEAAASEEE, tell me you are joking.

MManal: How do you justify Malone with Duncan, Garnett, McDyess, Wallace and C-Webb?

Moe: Dereck Anderson? Where in the hell did that come from? You can do better than that.

I agree with MManal with the exception of Malone. Subract Malone and add Micheal Finley.

    Dereck Anderson?

You're only saying that because Anderson got more votes than Steve from the fans.

No way in hell three Spurs get picked for that team.

If this is Hakeem's last year, he deserves to get in over Robinson just to honor him. That's the only reason Stock ever gets in. The coaches know that any game could be his last.

Actually, I think momentum has a lot to do with the coaches desicions for their picks, which is in Steve's favor. He's been on a very good tear lately, and that should give him a good look. J Williams has lost a lot of his flare, and the Kings are doing better anyway, so his stock goes down. But on the other hand, the Kings suprising record might just get him the spot anyway. I can't see DA getting picked over Steve, and GP has been getting a bad rap this season. I don't think they'll reward him.

So basically it should come down to Steve and JW.

I'll just get this out the way.Hell will have officially frozen over if Jason Williams makes the allstar team.Darkhorse, Nick Van Exel and Terell Brandon are both better point guards, and they will get little to no votes for the allstar game by the coaches. Remember for a second that the coaches have brains, unlike the Kings fans who voted for his ass so many times.I'm watching the Kings/ Clipps game as we speak, and Jason was benched after he came out smokin with 5 missed shots in less than 4 minutes.

The reason I put Malone in is b/c I think they will give atleast one Utah player a spot on the team. I dont see how it can be justified that Dallas gets 2 players and Utah gets 0 esp when Utah has a better record. For the record tho, I would much rather see Finley on the team b/c I cant stand Malone. However, if one of these midwest front running teams ie. Utah, San Antonio, Dallas gets 2 reps and Steve gets squeezed, I will be very very pissed. Steve Francis deserves to be an All Star this yr, its that simple. You dont become a .500 team in this absolutely stacked Western Conference with a pathetic frontline like the Rockets have unless something very special is in your backcourt.

Malone and Stockton are bothing having good seasons,if they were anybody else, but bad seasons since they are who they are. Neither of them really deserve an allstar spot, and if either one of them make it, it will only be because they are a name.Stockton's numbers against the spurs yesterday were 5 point, 3 assists, and 0 rebounds. Doesnt say alot about him, when he fails to show up in such a crucial game.Malone just doesnt deserve a spot. I could see one of them getting in somehow though.

I disagree with you PeterVescey, Franchise is easily the 3rd best PG in the West. And teh fact that GP adn Jason Kidd have had some problems of late helps Franchise. I think he will get picked.

Like Bill and Calvin said last night, you can't find a guard in the WEST playing better than Francis.

If either of the Jazz players gets picked (and especially if Steve does not), we'll have to march on the capitol, burn it down.

This game is played in DC, right? Yeah, I think Steve will make it.

Malone should not play. He's having (for him) a down season, he's usually nursing injuries anyway, he always b****es about having to play the game. The coaches should grant his (and our) wish and let him stay home.
