Can we please not cry for anyone to be fired if we don't happen to beat the Warriors?? They swept us in the regular season, anything better than a sweep in the WCF is a good result.
Morey and analytics is vindicated. The dude took a team of role players that lost T-mac and Yao, kept them competing without tanking, while accumulating assets (players on good contracts thorugh good scouting and analytics). Struck when opportunity presented itself with Harden and parlayed that into Howard. Didn't bite on Parsons and brought in Smith, Terry, and Brewer and later Smith--the very role players that saved the season. Gotta give it up to Morey. Triumph of the pinheads! Nerds unite!
Prigioni, Brewer, Terry, and Smith were all gigantic over games 6 and 7. Huge credit to Morey for picking up that whole set of players for next to nothing.
Major props to Morey for getting players who just fit the team well. When these guys are in sync, they are hard to stop.

Morey is great, probably the best in the league. But the success this team has had makes it even more frustrating that he has put so much into trying to get another superstar when it's clear now that one wasn't needed. Prioritizing flexibility over adding pieces over the summer. I'm still wondering what this team would look like with Lowry running the show instead of Terry and Pablo.
Indeed, we don't need a poor man's CP3 type player. Our grandpas have made some key contributions, we wouldn't be here now if it weren't for them.
