You must be a Rockets/Harden hater to suggest something like that.

He said most of what we complain about in the garm, harden has to always attack the rim...see how he was able to get bigs in trouble which is really our only chance to win..

Because there haters. Anybody can see T-Mac has a ton of respect for the Rockets and wishes us the best.

Also didn't know T-Mac was getting a 8 inch needle stuck in his knee after every game in that Utah series.

Hakeem olajuwon was hurt in the 95 season.

He won finals mvp that year.

Sorry McGrady is not the exception you people make him to be.

There are no exceptions. Only results.

    Interesting

People on here give advice on how to win championship, how to put a championship caliber team together all the time . And guess what probably never played organized basketball. But you're on here eluding to, he's never got past the 2nd rd so he's not qualified to share his opinion.

    Bwhahaha too darn comical

Gotta love how some people think around here. Have you ever played basketball in the NBA and if so how deep did you make in the playoffs?

Well if your name is Clyde Drexler,
You can tell Harden that you took two Blazers teams to the nba finals with coach rick adelman and when you joined the rockets, you helped them win a championship.
You could also tell them you won Olympic gold and that your number is retired by the rockets, blazers, and cougars and you are one of the 50 best players of all time.

If your name is tracy mcgrady you couldn't say any of that.

This makes no sense. Again what have you done in the NBA playoffs tinman? Umm or are you a street Baller whose won every single game you've played?

That man you hate so dearly is just giving his opinion just like all of us arm chair players and coaches.

It does make sense because Clyde Drexler has more experience leading teams in the playoffs than tracy mcgrady plus a much better resume.

You've completely lost any argument when you start comparing nba players to random people.

It's hilarious. You are just like the lin fans when lin fans say that lin is in the nba and you are not.

    Hahahahahaha

You don't need any qualifications except knowing how to read to know who's the better advisor for the playoffs.

Drexler is the ex rocket who has more experience than tmac.

Cool interview...but its clear to see that McGrady never believed that he could be the "one" to carry the weight in a playoff series. McGrady always was looking for a running mate to carry that "weight". Ironic that he left Toronto with Vince entering his prime...TMAC, the greatest what if NBA players...

Also ironic, that he is picking the Bulls(underdog), Grizzlies(underdog), Clippers(favorites)...and he sits court side at games with Les and Hakeem.

The curse is real guys, TMAC is a hex...

Ironically, T-Mac left Toronto because he wanted to be "The Man" and to escape Carter's shadow. In Orlando and Houston, he discovered he didn't actually wanted to be "The Man", but he still wanted to be treated like he was and to get paid like he was.

Totally False. He was fine being "the man", he just wanted some extra help. 2009 was the only year we were legit tittle contenders, and he was hurt. horrible luck.

Dude chill out with the comparison BS. I'm not arguing anything. Just stating dude can state his dam opinion just like anybody else. And all because he didn't get past the 2nd round doesn't hold any merit , just like people on here acting like they know how to build a championship team let alone coach an nba team.

And how the F did Drexler get into the conversation. So again cut the nonsense out and please get pass your constant hate towards a dude that doesn't play for this team anymore. Every time someone mention Tmac you quickly come on here to talk the man down.

What he said was spot on. We've all seen championships being won like that.

Look passed your hate guys. He stated in the video that its always easier on the outside looking in (when he gives players advice).
Just beacuse he has a terrible winning record and no sucess doesnt mean he cant have an opinion or is always wrong. Besides disliking him whaf part of what he said was inccprect?

Learn something about Rockets history before you try to argue please. Here is what others thought about T-Mac as well as how he responded to being asked to be a leader.

The great T-Mac, slowed down by the first round.

The great T-Mac, perpetually watching the 2nd round from his couch.

James Harden was clearly still affected, slowed, and exhausted from a case of the flu. Considering his heroic trip dub the previous game visibly took a lot out of him, only idiots would think the way you did.

From the interview, i do have to say he looks very comfortable sitting down in street clothes and talking about other players. Must of had lots of practice.

Being "The Man" and a "Leader" arent necessarily the same thing. Everyone knew Tmac was never a vocal leader, but he sure as hell was "The Man" on the court. He was a top 5 player in the league and our "go to guy" to close out games, and therefore, the Man.

And I've been a fan long enough, so no need be so condescending. I was a fan throughout the McGrady era, so I knew exactly what went on in that era. Regardless, I can post here whether u think im up to date on Rockets History or not.
