I went to bed at 3am partially because I was too excited to go to sleep even after the game was over and got up at 6am to go to work. Tired and I'm going to be hurting today, but I don't regret it at all. Its the playoffs! I was rewarded with one of the greatest things I've ever seen in Houston sports history. It was unbelievable.

Think the wife and I got about 5 hours of sleep last night, can't do it for regular season games anymore with those 9:30 tips but for the playoffs we make exceptions. Seriously though there is no reason for a playoff game to start that late.

I get that it's late for some, but try living in Europe, before you complain ;) ...Went to bed at 2.30 am, woke up at 4.15am to catch the game and then straight to work.

WHat I did last evening (since it was my rest day from the gym) was to go home and take a nice nap from 5Pm to 8 PM

Got up, showered and went to watch the game at Woodrows on Shepherd. Slept around 2 AM and up by 7 AM

Got my 8 hours of sleep and my Rockets

I usually DVR the game, wake up 1 hour early and watch the game with fast forwarding....since it was a play off game and potential season ending game for the rockets, I stayed up but I feel your pain. I get up at 530 am every morning.

I'm in the same boat as a few of you. I live in Houston but was so hyped and couldn't believe it that I couldn't fall asleep. Last time I looked at the clock it was 3 something AM and I woke up for work at 5:20 AM. I feel like an actual zombie but it was worth it.

That's your fault you can't stay up. That's your fault you gave up and went to bed when we were down 20 and fought back. Please don't watch the next game.

1 AM that's a reasonable 10pm (or 11 pm if your 1 am is central) in LA, you know where the game was played.

the timeslot i hate is tnt's 9:45 ET start for a rockets home game.

Come on you people! This is a fan from Turkey speaking:

The game finished at 8:30 am or something so I was late to work today. But I don't care. It was totally worth it.

And imagine to have to get up 4:30 am, 5:30 am for every game to watch Rockets basketball.

    GO ROCKETS!

There's technology these days that allow you to see games later. DVR, recordings online- you can literally watch it the next day without knowing who won if you're disciplined.

This is true, you can make a choice to stay up or not. It's about priorities. We all love the Rockets but sometimes life gets in the way. My wife just had a baby- there was no way we were going to miss sleeping while the kid was out. If he was up then we would have been up.

Man, I would love to see live games at that time of the day - start my day with some coffee and some Rockets goodness? Sign me up.

Watching from Dubai, the games start btwn 4-6am. Let's just say work productivity has plummeted.

We are excellent on those games and James average 35.4 PPG + 5 RPG + 6.2 APG + 2.4 SPG on 49/50/89 shooting line

I was just falling asleep. I don't know how old you are but if you have been up since 6 and you have a real job where you actually work hard you are dead tired by 12 or so.

Personally, I like the late starts. This way, the wife and kids are in bed and I get to watch in peace and can act a fool if I want to...and I sure was during that run.

Besides, what can the nba do? Why should the west coast fans be punished with early games for the rest of us?

I miss the good old College days. Even living in the eastern time zone, I had no problem staying up till 1 to watch a Rockets game when class started at 10. But now getting up for work at 6 or sooner it's tough to physically stay up past 11-11:30 on weekdays. Especially later on in the week. Last night I watched the first quarter, went to bed around 11:15 and had to wake up to the most nerve racking refresh on my phone to see that we won. Then when I read how we won I couldn't believe it.

I could DVR the game as some have mentioned but it is so tough to go the whole day without finding out the result. And once you know how the game ended it gets really hard to watch.

That unit that closed out the 3rd was working hard enough to keep me biting my nails when we were still down 15. I genuinely felt like we could do something and resisted the urge to sleep. Paid off. Could have ran a marathon at 2am.

All the late playoff starts throughout the years kind of make the series more memorable in a way. I'm just used to it being the Lakers.
