No excuses for tonight. Dwight, Harden, Ariza, Terry and Brew have all been to the finals before. Just win baby
I only tell you what I'm told, as I have said, from a few friends in the assoc., some players around the league and other employees of diverse levels, etc...it's a big family out here. Please, by all means, ignore it if you want. No hard feelings. Just paying it forward as a fan. Again, all I have his a lucky ear to conversations. Sometimes, when you're sitting at the same table with the men who are behind the scenes, you get to hear the gems. The drama. The rumors. For me, I get to listen and go back to my HS and Univ. players that are not involved. I don't mention names on purpose. If you're smart, you'd understand why. I'm not in Cyber's circle. I'm not in Doc's circle. I'm a regular guy, who works within basketball in a different facet. Oh yeah, I also teach two college courses on the side. That's how simple I am. Anyway: Those of you who are smart already know who I am alluding to. It's right there, and it's obvious. An agent loves spending time in the sun and wants the best for his players, including one of those lone wolves in Mile High. He speaks very quietly of this, but on a scale of making the brand continue on. Winning makes your brand stronger. We have an aging superstar that needs the ball in the right spots. And, to his credit, he has played extremely well for us, minus a few games. Wait for KingDrew, Cyber, etc all you want. I will, too. I'm just passing it along, homie. Why? I'm a Rockets fan, and I'm allowed to be based on my profession. There's no conflict of interest. Our big man has some pride, and his crew believes he is capable of being like his historical Sunshine State elitism. Do i believe that? Not necessarily. I just know he wants to be used to his best abilities, and his "team" that doesn't play ball is looking for the same. Peace. PS....Jet is going to be BOMBIN' tonight!!!
Thank you, I think. It's all good. I'm not proclaiming to be Doc, Popeye, Clutch, Oeilpere, Cyber, etc... Shoot, unlike Cyber, I was told that our interest was barely lukewarm. Morey likes chemistry and I guess Kevin and Garnett talk enough that Rondo was a scary thought. Again, that was just a conversation with a big man visiting the valley. I'm just an open ear that gets to hear. (That was not supposed to be Dr. Suess-like) Go Rockets. We got this. Jet's last dance shouldn't end in FlopCity.
Dwight realizes that he is going to look like a major hypocrite with all of that ultimate sacrifice talk right?
I like your thinking. Dwight is a proud guy. He "sacrificed" coming here, according to Dan. This is just my opinion, but Dwight wanted a bigger role than just the garbage man/rebounder. He wants more touches. He says it in the media in his own way. Passive-aggressively, to me. To his defesnse, McHale hasn't taught our guys the post past a la Rudy T...Dwight gets the ball in bad spots. Rashard Lewis was an underrated post passer...we have Jet and Prigs as our best post passes. Besides that, Dwight gets the ball too far out and isn't in prime position. We can't feed him the ball in "finesse" spots. He needs the ball IMMEDIATELY after sealing off his defender. See:Orlando. Kevin waits too long to get him the ball, perhaps.
Thanks for all your info Cod. He is just not a consistent enough post player to go to a lot versus DeAndre Jordan. Just because you train with Hakeem doesn't make you Hakeem. If he has another falling out on his third straight team what kind of market does Dan think he is going to have for his big guy. Sounds like winning will cure it
Cod, Howard was upset after being taken off the court right there at the end of the 1st. Terry was the first one to console him.
WInning keeps that Dwight Smile bright. A Game 7 win would help his brand and legacy immensely. Dan, are you listening?
