I would like to say he played a good game tonight. Didnt hakeem seem really big? Maybe Im not use to seeing someone 7 feet on the floor fora while. [IMG]

Hakeem draw double teams while he was in, played great defense. Got called for stupid fouls , which was really not good calls. Hakeem rebounded pretty good for the amount of time he was in.

I think maybe he should play a little more minutes, I think he changes alot of things while he is in the game. I would like to see him more in the 4th, instead of rockets jacking 3s to catch up. Maybe hakeem can post up and kick it out back for a 3, just like the good ole days.

It was a loss tonight, but I was glad to see Hakeem play well.

what i dont understand is why he wasnt in there during the end, he could of stopped those three straight offensive boards by the sixers that cost us the game.

Yeah I think hakeem is the best rebounder on this team. How sad is that?

Hakeem being taken out is the reason for this loss. They had a six point lead when the Dream was removed by Rudy, well, you know what happened.

    ZRB,

I love how you throw out the facts to try and blame this on Rudy. Hakeem ASKED to be taken out. He gave the signal to Rudy that he was just winded and couldn't go further. You don't just ignore a player who says that-- you risk much further injury, guys running past him, etc. Even Bill and Calvin commented on it.

And if you are going to try and retaliate with a "well Rudy should've substituted Hakeem in in OT when we needed rebounds"-- you don't take out players in the middle of key stretches and replace them with players ice cold off the bench and expect Hakeem to do that much better than KT. If you do it's ridiculous. Hakeem asked to be taken out of the game-- period. He was winded. You couldn't have expected him to play more than the 18 minutes he did considering all the layoff he's had.

Hakeem should have gotten a 2 minute break, and been put back in.

Cat, I love how you try to defend Mobley by saying it was a team loss. He missed a crucial LAYUP in overtime, and cost the Rockets the game.

    ZRB,

I love how you try and single out things as things that "cost the Rockets the game." Last night it was Rudy. And by the way, I love how everyone forgets Steve and others got ice cold down the stretch, but if not for CLUTCH play by Cuttino in the final minute WE AREN'T EVEN IN OVERTIME! Every loss is a team loss. EVERY SINGLE ONE. Individuals do not lose games. Can you get that through your head?

Yeah, and they also got that lead before Hakeem came in the 2nd half. I think people forget how average Hakeem looked before he went down with his injury.

Dream looked fantastic, for coming back off a layoff,and.....very cool( great to hear that roar)...He was blocking or altering shots, and hitting those boards. If he knocks down some of those routine shots he missed(Which I think should come within a couple of games)....Well,just imagine what an already impressive stat line would have looked like.He is showing what he has left and if this any indicator...then look out.I'm ashamed to say I was surprised. If his conditioning comes along and he plays 25-30 minutes a game like that then,I'd be ecstatic. It also DOES establish a broader market for him.Whatever happens, this was a great FIRST sign.

Just a minor thing, but hakeem is probably closer to about 6-10, making Los, Cato, Collier, and Langhi ALL taller than dream.

Once again, I was shocked at how well he was moving ...really great to see him running the court like that too.
