College coaches aren't teaching fundamentals and shooting. That's stuff you learn in middle school and high school.

I don't know why people act like kids are playing AAU ball exclusively... they go through the school systems too and learn from the coaches there.

Seems pretty flimsy. Most of the guys who came straight out of high school to the NBA are decent free throw shooters.

Doesn't Andre Igoudala have the same problem?

A lot of it has to be mental. Esp with Smith.
It looks like Gms won't change the hack rule. 75% of the intentional fouls were commited against 5 players and 3 of them are currently on the Rockets. Dorsey Smith and Howard.
But the vast majority are against Jordan.

I've thought about this often! I have one of those SKLZ Basketball goals in my office, you know the one you hang on your doors. The ball is about 9"-10" in diameter and I cannot for the life of my consistently shoot that dang thing bc the ball is small compared to the size of my hand.

On the other hand if you take me to the gym ill knock down 9/10 FT.

I think this is the problem with some big guys, it's just the ball is so small that it leaves different places of their hand with every shot.

He's allowed himself to get worse. Don't blame it on height because Yao did it and worked on it. It's all about giving a damn.
