Man, I'll admit it too. And then he started off his NBA career looking so terrible -- like a baby deer learning to walk. I thought he was a complete bust. I was calling him the Swiss Miss.

And I was freaking dead wrong.

Capela looks good out there. Not only does he have NBA level athleticism, I think (considering how little experience he has) that he is doing a good job of being in the right spot and know what to do on the court. He also shows good effort.

I think the kid has a good future.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Reggie Miller's ridiculous laugh

I think Capela is going to "dunk all over" a lot of players in this league.

He looked awful and so nervous earlier in the season. I thought he would be a bust. Even scored for the opposing team. I admit I thought he would have been better off improving his game in France.

The D-League stint has done him a lot of good, even though it's not a true developmental league as yet.

LoL, you could tell McDaniels had never done that celebration w/ D12 before.

Even though he is shorter than Rudy Gobert, Capela's standing reach has been measured at about 9'4" with a wingspan of about 7'4". These are great measurements, no quite like Rudy, but Rudy is taller.

Capela is gonna destroy the league within 2 years.

If we're being honest, I think most of us would say we thought the same. It makes me realize just how ahead of the game our front office is when it comes to player development and the D-league. He doesn't look like the same player 6 months later. Just amazing development in such a short time.

Speak for yourselves, why would you have thought he's a BUST? A skinny 20 year old's first year in the NBA, there's no telling when he would take off but you just knew he'd make a leap eventually.

I miss both Landry AND Hayes. PF who could score when we needed him to and a PF who played strong defense and passed well. Could use Hayes to check Griffin...

Capela was the better POSTER, but Landry's was with Odom in position and Landry is shorter + it came in a game 6 to force game 7. Still, Capela's was way more impressive, just the reaction from Reggie & Harlan that made it less than it was.
