No matter how they lose, Leslie will praise the hell out of McHale, Morey will keep spewing his garbage that McHale should've been coach of the year, Harden was the MVP and can do no wrong etc. Might as well not watch the Rockets until McHale is fired, we knew it the 1st year and it still holds true: no ring under McHale, zing!
Exactly. Case in point, Miami Heats. I always knew Spoelstra was an average coach at best, just an old Riley clone who can't make adjustments. But the Heat won in spite of him, not because of him, yet ppl was always tryna give him credit, "oh he such a great coach, 4 straight finals appearances!" Wrong. I can tell you why the went to the finals 4 straight years, and It wasn't cuz of "Spos brillaint coaching strategy". Hint: why didn't they even make the playoffs this year? Hint: because the thing that took them to 4 straight finals is in Cleveland now.
How many superstars did the San Antonio Spurs had last year to win the championship? I'm not talking about 'former' superstars, but the current one. Yes, Zero. How many top players does the Hawks have that they were able to win 60 games this year? Right, Zero. Now, tell me coaching doesn't matter. Basically, coaches are generals and players are soldiers. Soldiers fight the battles, but without right strategy in the battlefield they will get slaughtered.
Not true if they don't believe in your ability to coach. They look at McFail as if they know more than him and James repeatedly brushes off his suggestions out of a time out.
