I am embarrassed to be rooting for a team that doesn't compete and just lay down in front of a national crowd and lose by over 60 points in two games.
I tweeted this to Darryl Morey @dmorey YOUR team. YOUR failure. OUR embarrassment. Houston doesn't deserve this Daryl.
We have been exposed. For the team to have failed this badly, responsibility should be laid out from top to bottom. From Morey's wrong offensive philosophy and failure to get the right role players (Dorsey wtf, Prigs at the trade deadline) McHale and the coaches' lack of playoff gameplanning--just more of the same, to team leaders' lack of mental toughness and role players following suit. This year, we had no Troy Daniels or Chandler Parsons to take up the slack. Or even Omer Asik to spell Dwight. Just a bad trainwreck and worse, the fans are pissed.
I have never been more ashamed of this team than I am now as well. Like I said in another thread, this is a very dangerous time for this franchise. Les, Morey, etc. better wake their asses us before the Rockets are an after thought in this city. That organization should be embarrassed by this second round showing. Absolutely embarrassed.
The Grizz, Bulls, Wizards, Hawks, Cavs, and Warriors might go down. But at least they'll go down fighting.
Blown out in three out of 4 games so far. I don't remember I have seen anything like this in the playoffs.
i've tried to ignore our pt differential all year long, especially when we finished as the 2nd seed. i kept telling myself, pt differential can be wrong, it's not 100% indicator. well we finished at +3.4, clippers finished +6.6. It's clear their offense and defense combined is better than ours and the pt diff clearly shows that over 82 games. combine that fact with the fact that the clippers have the same record but couldn't catch GSW for the division and 2nd seed means even less. Just for the record, of the west playoff teams we only finished higher than NOP(+0.8), DAL (+2.9), and MEM (+3.2). MEM is the surprise here, especially given there current success against GSW (+10.1). pt diff says we're probably the 5th or 6th best team in the west. so to the OP, I'm not embarrassed at all. it's a bad matchup and the clippers are a much better team based on pt diff. what's happening is likely. and to cheke, it's not just 3 games. it was 82 if we paid attention.
The clips kicked our ass last year. They had us fooled that we could hang with em this regular season. This happened. More than 3 games
That said, I don't blame the coaches or the players. We are just facing a team that is very good right now and clicking on all cylinders.
Meh, they quit on themselves and each other. I've never been so ashamed to be a Rockets fan. Something drastic must be done this offseason, and not just with player personnel. A new direction and identity is in order. Les, your franchise is about to become irrelevant in Houston. Do something to make us believe again.
