Even though we won, it wasn't a win we should be happy about. Didn't see any effort, heart, or urge to win till mid way in the forth. I'm a pretty nervous about game three.
A win is a win. It's playoff time. It's not supposed to be easy. Now, let's win game 3. Idgaf if it's 61-60.
I don't think in the Spurs/Clip series either team was happy with whatever win they scored (except for the destruction the Spurs put on the clips in one game). It's grind it out, we are passed the point of avoiding close games, we just have to find a way to win them.
Don't tell me if I should be happy. I'm happy. I am, however, nervous about your standing as a Rocket Fan.
this is stupid. why wouldn't you be happy. the #1 goal is to get a W no matter what. whether its pretty or not and that's what they did. last i checked the series is 1-1. do you look back and subtract that win because for some reason you're not happy with it? it's the playoffs, games will have to be grinded out to the very end. maybe if you changed the word to satisfied, that could help
I'm not saying I'm not happy we won the game. It just wasn't a satisfying win. We looked bad and they didn't have cp3 again.
We had an 11 point lead after 1 quarter, lost the lead because we allowed Griffin to go beast mode, then regained our composure and closed it out. This is the playoffs. It's like some of you guys have no clue that games are going to be close, intense, and sometimes weird. Beating an NBA team 4 times out of 7 is no joke....especially when it's in the second round of the playoffs.
^ What? We came back from a big deficit to win the game. How the hell is that not satisfying? It is a playoff win. What the **** is this thread?!??!
If it only takes our team one quarter of effort to beat our opponent by 6 points then I would see that as a pretty positive sign.
Hmm... I think 2nd 1/2 was turning point, played Griffin better and after the foul situation played out Harden woke up. I expect houston to start hitting their 3s in the next game and Houston to play a lot better. I think when you're team plays like **** at the FT and 3 and still gets the win it can only go up from there. If houston was hitting their normal 3 avg this probably wasn't even a game.
This is the playoffs. Rarely does a team get blown out. You have to appreciate every win. Why are you watching the games?
So then do you care to explain what you meant by "Can't be happy with the win"?? Because, and call me crazy here, when somebody titles their thread "Can't be happy with the win", I'm going to tend to believe that means they aren't happy with the win.
Then go be miserable somewhere else. If you can't be happy about a playoff victory I don't really know what to say.
OP must be new to NBA playoff games. OP also ignores our great first Q again. And didn't notice that McHale sat Harden down with 6 minutes left in the 3rd to rest him. Harden started the 4th for probably one of the first times this season. Sorry you don't know how to watch bball, OP.
