Face it, folks, the Clippers are just better at NBA than the Rockets are

You probably refer to Howard and Smith when they were 23 and 24.

Sucking the gravity out of the building. Pre-injury stuff.

Present day. 29-30 year old veterans with mileage

Actually, the Rockets are much deeper and should be up 2-0 easily. The Rockets have just played horrible and like Shaq said: we've only played 2 quarters, the rest we just played like crap. We just have to focus and we could easily steal one in LA, even if they have Chris Paul.

Take away the 2nd quarter and the Rockets allowed 68 points in the other three. And it wasn't like the Clippers missed good looks in the first quarter when they put up only 24 points.

The Rockets problem is that they can't figure out how to focus for a full 48 minutes.

Consider: In the 1st, 3rd and 4th quarters the Rockets outscored the Clippers by 26 points. In the 2nd quarter, when they had no desire to defend, the Clippers outscored them by 20 points. Bench scrubs like Hudson and Turkoglu were getting wide open looks and the Rockets wouldn't dare blake to shoot jumpers, instead letting him drive at will.

This series is exposing the Rockets lack of focus, which has plagued them for a few years now. The Clippers are not a better team.

In the playoffs there are no weak teams, and no average teams in the 2nd round.

The Clips do not need to be the better team, they are the team on the same level and might be executing more flawlessly to take the advantage.

Unless Rockets fight for their lives with more poise and better play than we have seen so far, even against Dallas.

Sometimes I wonder if you are trolling or being serious. The best player on either team is Harden. Harden is a top 3 player in the league and is the best player at his position, hands down. Blake is having a great postseason but come back to reality, there was a reason Curry and Harden were neck and neck for MVP. And Paul is a shell of himself. He can play like his younger all star self in spurts but he is not on Harden's level. And Deandre Jordan is a very good player but to place him above Dwight is pure ignorance. Shaq couldn't hit a free throw either, does that make less of a great?

The obsession got us 2nd seed in the west. The strategy only pays off in the long run. It's a 7 game series. Morey's running algorithms as we speak.

    Have to second this.

Clips have a system, and they are pretty consistent with it. We jsimply lack of discipline to be consistent, our open style will be our downfall.

    This.

This was a gut check win if you ever saw one. Down 14 points at one moment in the 3rd quarter and playing horrible basketball, things were looking bleak. The plane ride to LA down 0-2 would have been downright depressing. Alas, the good guys won, knowing they can play much better, by perhaps following the lead of Howard. I don't know what treatment he got for his knees, but I want it. Howard is playing like Orlando D12 superstar.

Bwhahahahah we are so predictable to Cuban his team couldn't stop us. I don't want to hear none of this nonsense Cuban was spewing.

And no sir Rivers and Hudson did not outplay anyone. They hit a few shots and that's it.

We can win this series. Dwight Howard is playing like the Dwight Howard of old. You gotta figure we're due a game or 2 where our 3's actually go in. When Paul comes back he won't be 100%. I have faith in Harden.

The Clippers are just good. They're not different than last year just lost a couple more games in the regular season. They're talented as ****.

You've got the Big 3 and you've got Jamal and Reddick who kill their roles.

Yeah damn, if only Patrick Patterson were on the team, then we might be good enough :(

I miss beverly. This series would be totally different..paul or not. He was the spark plug. Truly the killer instinct, which is the only thing holding our squad back.

Typical Carl... Harden and Dwight are equal to Blake and Paul. You can argue the rest but when they are on their game they bring a lot to the table. After that it just depends who shows up. They clearly have the better shooters but with Ariza and Brewer we have solid defenders.

    This (again).

Bev is more important to this team than the stats he puts up. Bev is a natural leader not only with words but action with his aggressive play. I under estimated his loss to this team.

I hope he comes back if we are fortunate enough to advance.

We have to get something from the 4 spot or we are doomed. The Rockets bench does tend to play better on the Road, but the Clipper bench plays well at home. If the stars negate each other out, then these extra points need to come from somewhere else.
