Since the Clippers matched the offer for Brand, they are really stacked at power forward. I would think that either Ely or Wilcox gets traded before too long. Which one would you pick if the Rockets get to have one of them? Both were good college players and have a big build.

Wilcox, he's younger and has the potential to be a much more dominant player. Although Ely would be the better choice for immediate contribution.

I doubt either will be traded. Ely probably has the inside track at Center for them this year with Wang and Kaman as the backups. Wilcox is the backup PF. Sean Rooks is gone.

But for the sake of argument.....Ely is better now because his post game is more polished but Wilcox has much more "upside potential." Word is Wilcox played really well in the summer leagues this year.

    Ely!
If we get Wilcox we would have 2 guys with "potential" at our 4 spot. Wilcox did nothing last year and wouldnt really help us, at least not at first. Ely on the other hand would make more of an immediate impact and could play Center also, not just PF.
To tell you the truth tho, there is no way we get either. If Kaman isnt ready, we may see Ely start at C for Clipps..

Got to agree with you there. The Rox need production, not potential at the four spot. Maybe if they could get a half-way decent 4, they could move EG back to fill the gaping hole at the 3 spot.
