If it had been the Seahawks doing it then you'd hear words like "thug" thrown around quite a bit.

Eh, the stuff about shoes doesn't seem like a big deal to me. It's very, very common for players in all sports to give the clubhouse guys stuff, tips if you will, because individual players ask them to do all sorts of things/special tasks. It sounds to me like Brady expected all this stuff to be done and never showed any appreciation.

Well first of all, Tom Brady denied even knowing the guy. (Dis-proven by texts between the two)

But the back and forth between the two equipment managers makes it seem like there were two actors involved.

    1) The actual guy who deflated the balls
    2) The guy who talked to Tom Brady

In some of those texts between Person 1 and 2, 1 is telling 2 to make sure he has certain items in his locker in exchange for deflating the balls. 2 complies and says to make sure 1 leaves out some footballs for Tom to sign for him.

Oh, I agree on all that. Just saying that Brady giving the guy stuff isn't out of the norm.

Obviously Brady had direct contact with the other guy and was the driving force behind all this.

It's an absolute travesty based on this report that Tom Brady was allowed to play in the Superbowl. I mean, "smh." He'll probably get a fine and a small suspension for cheating during the playoffs. There's literally no way to know just how much of an advantage he got in those cold weather games. We'll never know, but at least he got his ring.

Not sure about Belichick, but I don't see how Brady gets anything less than a year. Other than, of course, "he's Tom Brady".

There are really only a few rules to be a successful cheat, do it alone, keep your actions small and intermittent, and don't talk about what you did. And there u go. But alas, the morons are always breaking the rules. Stupid is as stupid does. Busted.

I will be absolutely shocked if there is a substantial suspension handed down to Brady.

It does seem mighty odd in retrospect how Brady went from a game manager to god-in-shoulderpads in just one season... that just happened to coincide with when teams were allowed to supply their own game balls.

Well, yeah, how could anyone expect the NFL to handle this competently and properly?

Ha! You guys have got to read the text messages in proper formatting. HAHA!

I lost the link but you can probably find it on SI. These two equipment guys are an absolute trip. Tom Brady apparently laid into one of them because the balls were too inflated and the equipment manager threatens to make them worse, he refers to his friend as "sun" and "kid"...haha, just pure comedy.

That's what I keep asking myself. I find it hard to believe it really makes that big of a difference. And that disbelief is fueled by the Colts GM claiming that it was already widespread knowledge by teams that the Pats did this...and someone no one ever called them out on it or complained before the Colts game? If the other teams really believed it made a difference they would have said something, I feel. Unless they are all doing the exact same thing.

It was definitely cheating, and Brady was definitely involved and knew it was wrong, and then lied. I support the league punishing him. But honestly it doesn't affect my opinion of Brady's skill or accomplishments one iota because I can't really imagine it made THAT much difference.
