He should just take free throws Nick Van Exel style... Apparently being further away is more fun for him, haha. But no... of course Smith/Howard like shooting 3s in practice, instead of ****ing free points from the charity stripe... If I were a pro player and was leaving 5-10 points or more a game at the line I'd be so pissed... I know everyone claims mental but I think it's ****ing stupid not to practice your FT's.

I can see it now, final play of the game for a championship, Smith/Howard fouled on put back, Rockets down by 1, and 2 misses from the line with .1 on the God damn clock, clock expires rockets lose by 1, oh well, there's always next year!!!! Haha, I think Houston wins this series, but free throws are eventually going to really bite us in the ass.

Yeah that too, I still think Harden was basically phoning it in last night, with trying iso and it wasn't their defense when he lost the ball repeatedly, basically they were hoping Clippers weren't going to attempt the game without Paul. It was similar in game 4 of first series, hoping that Dallas would just give in w/ the injuries. Houston keeps trying to play down to their opponents like they've won something already,I think Houston might have even played better if Paul was there last night, they basically talk themselves into not showing up because the win is expected. Just shows houston still has more growing to do, I think if houston wins this series, they're going to need to be near perfect to do something in the WCF, but if houston shows up with no interest (I think last night was worse than last year's loss) then houston will be going home.

I have never been more embarrassed to be a Rockets fan than after last night's game. (Choke City is kind of faded in my mind). Very disheartening!

That said, I WILL be rooting like hell for the Rockets on Wednesday.

I really hope to see some FIGHT and LEADERSHIP from this team in game 2.

Choke City was more embarrassing....but that seemed like a distant memory 6 days later after they trounced the Suns 109-86 to go from being down 0-2 to being up 3-2.

I'm hoping we experience a similar turnaround this time next week.

Let's go Rockets! You CAN turn it around! Believe in yourselves, and victory will be yours.

    We are with you!

last night wasn't about choke city...its that the rockets looked like a team that you'd have to be deluded to believe was a contender. It was a bunch YMCA guys playing pick up ball vs a focused and disciplined team. If that **** happens again, Morey, Mchale , Harden all need to take a look at themselves---Morey especially when it comes to him trying to dictate our entire offensive scheme.

not surprising. all the other spreads opened at the same line as game 1 in each respective series.

We need more fans with this type of attitude:

    It's entirely too gloomy here.

The optimist in me says they have to realize how much they're being laughed at after last night. I'm banking on them coming out with some fire.

This team has shown that they aren't going to stop turnovers and they aren't going to make free throws. It's just not going to happen.

Alright McHale. Let's see what adjustments you've made. What you did against the defenseless Mavs won't work against the Clips.

Oh man...if they lose again...just don't even show up for Game 3 and 4. We'll learn a lot tomorrow.

Weird. Feigen pulled the tweet and said he's back to questionable -- this Clippers writer says doubtful.

All I care is that we fight. I don't care if we win or lose right now, but if we throw our hands up in the air and let them punch us, then this team is over. I don't root for quitters no matter how talented they are. HARDEN looking at your ass.

The '09 Lakers lost to a Yao-less Rockets squad twice before their march to a title. While CP3 will be back at some point, unlike Yao, even elite teams can have a letdown game in the playoffs. Let's see how much heart these guys have tomorrow night.
