Now game over, yao ming has won the game.In Yangjiang , the China national team's third exhibition games against a traveling NBA All-Star team, yao 17pts 12 reb 5Blk 3ast 36mins.
Bob Hill after the game commented that Yao needs to reduce weight. He said Yao's weight right now is 320lbs.
Yao needed to gain weight. He did. Now they say he needs to lose it? As long as it's muscle instead of fat he should be ok. I pray for the centers (except Shaq) who must go against him next season.
Yao got only 17 points, 12 boards, and 4 blocks in 36 min Yao finally showed up in the 3rd exhibition game aginst US "all-star" team which is basically comprised by 3rd class NBA players. He played 36 min. In the first half, he was struggling for his shooting and only contributed 4 points after almost 2 weeks rest since his injury in eye. As a result, China national team only tied with US at the first half. During the second half, Yao played much better and dominated the paint. He also had several fabulous assists. Finally, China won US by 5 ponits (79-74). The US head coach said during 2nd half, Yao gave them lots of troubles but he needs to decrease his weight now. He is too fat (320 lbs), which could effect his speed. He also suggested that the ideal weight for yao should be around 300 lbs.
Yao doesn't look fat. his arms look bigger than before, but who knows what blubber he may be hiding under his shirt???
Yao's tooo fat? back then he was too skinny, needs to bulk up? Shaq looks fat.....Yao looks the way he should look in my opinion for his height. Was the coach saying that because he looked lethargic out there?
Thanks for the reports and pics guys. Keep it up. I wouldn't take anything Bob Hill says about Yao seriously. He's a washed up Pat Riley wanna be. There's a reason he's not coaching in the NBA. Does he even know that Yao's weight WAS 300 last year? BTW, Yao's girl is hot.
Basically he sucked. Well, he can always blame the stitches and the guards. China has ****ty guards. They cannot pass the ball to the post under pressure and cannot convert open jumpers. OK, now I understand why Yao was comfortable with the Rockets.
