So sad! Most MVP's live at the FT line don't they? Lebron, Durant, Kobe (just to look at the last etc) are all guys who have won the MVP shooting 10 free throws per game (and that's only looking at the last 4 MVP winners, only Rose didn't live at the line).

My suspicion is that Curry will have the least FT attempts of an MVP (for a long time back)

I remember times this season where he would make a shot and walk up the court all slow in order to showboat, and Bogut is pointing/yelling at him to cover his man before he blows right past because Curry's back is turned. Klay is less smug, but both need to be knocked on their ass. Come on Zbo, throw a punch.

Harden should win players vote for MVP , if he does, that should show volume

Klay just has no personality. I would almost rather see Curry at peak smugness than Klay's blank stares into oblivion. Klay has taken the mantle from Derek Rose as the player that doesn't look happy playing basketball.

Yes, because Harden never smiles and beats his chest at the crowd or does a silly stir the pot celebration with his back to the action. Nothing self-satisfying there. Good players know they're good. Whoop-de-freaking-doo

I don't see Harden walking up all slow with his back turned. He does that stir thing, but at least he is jogging back to get on defense. Harden doesn't come close to Curry in smugness. As a matter of fact, I can't even think of a bigger showboater on the court than Curry.

Lets see who their peers believe is the MVP in July at the 1st players awards .....

I'd lay odds Harden wins that MVP and to me that's a lot more meaningful award than the media version that is nothing more than a popularity contest.

I'd have had Harden & Westbrook 1-2 in no specific order as both of those dudes carried teams rather than lead teams with a load of talent.

Steph and Klay are private school boys...

    Hence the entitled, annoying personalities.

Most people in this thread are ridiculous. Trying to act like Steph is so undeserving
They won 67 games. Besides the Celtics, when has a team won that many games and not had the MVP. Let it go. He deserved it. So did Harden. But only one of them was going to win. Move on. And grow up.

Problem is that the voting won't even be close. I feel like James will be closer to third than first. Any other year id be happy for a player like curry to win. But the whole media darlings annoy the crap out of me.

On 790 this morning they were talking as if they knew the voting breakdown. Something like Curry got 21 1st place votes to Harden's 8 and LeBron's 1. However they never went in depth.

Is it possible that they have the numbers this early?

The total points may not come out that close but that doesn't mean anything. If most people thought it was super close with curry being first and harden a close second, the point system won't reflect that. I guarantee most people who gave curry first gave harden second.

This will be looked back upon historically like Steve Nash winning his second MVP undeservingly, Harden averages almost 4 more points per game; how does an MVP average just 23.8 points in such a high octane offense? It's not like he has a ton of assists, just .7 more a game than Harden, and James leads Steph in just about every other statistical category. If the Rockets and Warriors switched cities, Harden would be MVP.

I didn't care too much honestly about Harden winning MVP, if Harden wasn't a rocket I wouldn't care at all about him. I'm all about the Rockets making it deep in the playoffs.

With that being said, F Curry and F the stupid Warriors. I'll admit, I was wrong about them early in the season, I thought their hot start was a fluke and they would back down to earth. They didn't. I still hate the Warriors and hope they go down. It has less to do with the team and more to do with the constant barrage of media attention they get. How they were hailed as the favorites to win the championship since they got Iggy. This season being magical for them has tipped everyone in the media to just jumping on board the bandwagon and loving this golden child nba team. I so want them to go down. Honestly, if the clippers beat us and I end up wanting to shoot cp3 and the whole team, I probably still root for them to take down the warriors.

In fairness Curry also shot a higher percentage and is the more efficient scorer.

Warriors won 67 games - that counts for a lot. I think it has more to do with Kerr than Curry, but the fact is, Curry is leading that team to a fantastic season. You can't complain about Curry winning the MVP award.

Awards are great accomplishmentss but they don't win championships.

    Just ask Mr. Robinson.
