I would be pissed if the Rockets had lost like this, they just knew what play they were going to run and though they didn't lose because of it, it just would leave a bitter taste. Agree / disagree?

Comical error, at such a critical time of the game. And it happens too often. The league should standardize the clock management system and have league officials operate it.

was more detrimental psychologically rather than from a tactics point

Yeah, it was bush league. There should be an automatic timeout when that happens late in a game. To lose a game seven that way was criminal.

The clippers had no more timeouts to make adjustments. Talk about fortuitous timing.

Let's hope the Rockets' clock operators give us a similar HCA.

Did the spurs have a timeout left to call another play?

The look on Doc's face was a ****-eating version of "what, I didn't notice anything?"
Seemed very intentional, since errors like that don't happen on 99% of plays.

I wonder if the Spurs had a timeout? I don't recall. They should have taken it though and completely changed personnel and play.

    That sucks!

Let's win the next round and put these guys in their place. For Pop and the rest of the Spurs.

But that didn't really happen. If you look at them running the play before the inadvertent clock, Barnes is already prepared to help on Leonard down low if the pass went there.

And after the indavertant whistle, a better pass would have resulted in a possible tip-in by Leonard.

I do have a problem with the play-call being for an essentially 0.4-0.6 play when you had 1 whole second. Then again, the Spurs don't really have a dead-eye 3 point shooter with a quick enough release or the ability to get open that fast.

Yeah, it was terrible and unprofessional. Combined a disruption to rhythm, a free chance for LAC to see the play, and a distraction. Spurs should certainly be all over the league office about this.

Might not have changed anything...scoring in 1.0 is a low-odds proposition. But what a mess.

Just waiting until the ball has a sensor that turns on and off the clock when it crosses the boundaries of the court.

The millisecond the ball touches a player inbounds, the clock will start.
