How Steve dribbled the ball out of bounds in the clutch? Or how he shot more times than Mobley, who supposedly "jacked way too many". Or did you realize that Walt had a stupid play when he gave the Sixers a point by getting himself ejected? Or how Mo shot 4-18, missing several open shots? Did you see Shandon turn the ball over on a crucial possession in OT? Did you see Steve give away 5 turnovers? There are endless more things I could mention, but I think you get the point. And yes, Cat had his mistakes too, but so did everyone else. This is a TEAM loss. We win as a team, we lose as a team. Our TEAM (not one player) didn't come through tonight. If you have to bash, bash the whole team for not executing. Not Cuttino as you seem to do every single night.

I would agree with you, except you left out one person: Cuttino Mobley. If it's a team loss, lets see the whole team. Not everyone but Cuttino.

Relax... Mobley isn't immune to criticism.

For once I agree, this game was not entirely Cut-tino's fault. Sure he missed a crucial layup and free throw, but he also hit the overtime clinching shot.
This was the fault of Rudy going to a losing lineup. Putting Kenny in for Hakeem with minutes left was just a dumb move. It cost the Rockets rebounding and defense. It cost the Rockets the game. Along with Mo, Shandon and Franchise. Especially Rudy, though.

    Clutch,

I wholeheartedly agree with that statement. However, the point of my post was to get across the fact that other players make mistakes too-- the whole TEAM-- but no one talks about them. Everyone just immediately gets on Cuttino's mistakes. What I was trying to say was everyone makes mistakes, not just one person, and therefore our losses come as a team. I'll go back and edit my post to clarify that though.

Sounds like something my coach would say...... [IMG] But we won today. Damn it was cool. Almost like the Rocks game. 1 minute left in the 4th and were down by 5 to the worst team in the district. Our guy comes down and hits a 3 and makes it plus foul shots. He airs the foul shout with 30 secs left. They get the ball we steal it and they knock it out of bounds. Our ball, 3 ticks left, we pass it in and our center takes a 3 from 5-10 ft away from the 3pt line. Airs it.....but wait! Our PF catches it underneath the basket and puts it back for the tie!!!!! Then we went on to beat them in overtime........WEll anyways back to the rockets. Yea it is true though, It was a team loss. My first person to blame was Cuttino but then I realized that I was wrong. [IMG] We should've had that one rebound which T.Hill got. We also should've had our free throws. We also should've made our layups on the fastbreaks instead of getting fancy. Overall Cuttino caught on fire in the 4th and overtime but it was too late. Also, I think that foul on Iverson when Stevie shot the 3 when Philly had 1 to give should've been a shooting foul. He was up in the air when he got fouled right?

It was a team loss the Cat...relax. I just let out my frustration on Cat and made him the scapegoat. You have to realize I'm probably gonna exaggerate his role in the loss when I'm pissed off like that right after the game.Everybody made mistakes, including Mobley.

Bullard did the same thing he did last night: during the second quarter he also pulled a Kenny Thomas by allowing a sixer player to put back a missed free-throw.

    He's the worst pure-piece-of-crap-shooter I've ever seen.

Okay, I feel better now...sorry bull... but give me some damn Langhi, man.

Straight up! I agree, that this was not teams fault from losing to the sixers down the stretch, But it was Rudy T. for not putting Hakeem to contained or stoped sixers in the paint at least three posessions were sixers scored on the paint.Bad judgement,But hey! Coaches makes mistakes,so I'll chill out! [IMG]

yeah, I'm not tryin' to blame anybody but I would love to see Hakeem finish off close games like this, it just pisses me off when we loose something we could win, but, we're getting better and sixers are one of.. I mean.. the top team in the league, so I really believe that we'll be winning quite a few games against the mediocre schedule we have coming up..

Bottom line is, this team would have won tonight if Cuttino took every shot. Francis is a ball hog, and his 6 assists and 6 rebounds a game are a farce. Cuttino is the one who REALLY leads this team in assists and rebounds. Know your role, Steve Francis.

Cuttino does put himself in that position sometimes. He does take some bad shots. I would rather have a turnover due to good defense or a moment of clumsiness, than to jacking up a horrible shot. I love the Cat though, he is fearless, I guess you have to live with the good and bad.

... by one point in overtime against the best team in the East (who is currently on a roll with 12 road wins in a row). Sounds to me like they did more things right than wrong last night.

gr8-1. you are being sarcastic right? I love Mobley for the fact, he WANTS to be a leader, and you cant say that for alot of players in this league.People blame francis for not stepping up in crunch time for the big shots, but he really is the leader on this team. He tells people where to go, and gets everybody in a huddle 4 or 5 times during the game to get everybody on the same page.I'm content with Mobes being A go to guy, not THE go to guy all the time.
