You failed to mention Parker, too. That's three Spurs having bad series. And Kawhi sucked in game 6. And further...Diaw will have no mismatch like he has against the Clips. And Belinelli will get run off the court by Greyhound. And did I say, the Spurs have no match for Playoff Howard?

And I can't see Ariza have two bad series in a row. He is a lifetime .420 three point shooter in the playoffs. He is reknowned for his playoff shooting, just like Green is.

    Your turn.

And yet the spurs are making it into a 7game with clips....even tho clips are playing to there potential and Spurs are out of sorts....

i prefer clips we know there ceiling is not good enough against our best....but once the Spurs click into gears no one is stopping them not even gsw....just pray clips close them out this series

What are we all smoking??? We are NOT going to beat the Clips at their best. Nobody, I mean nobody, on our team is going to slow down CP3. Griffin and Jordan are toss-ups. I think Griffin will be a hard check for our PFs because he can shoot the midrange J now. Smith and Jones are good low block defenders but Griffin just has too much arsenal for us to contain him. Then you have Jamal Crawford, who's a known Rockets killer. It's just a tough matchup for us through and through. Let's not even go into the Spurs. Too disciplined, too good. Only thing going against them is their age.

i voted for the Clips but i'm having second thought not because they are a scary team but because they are so annoying. I want them to win game 6 to extend the series but at the middle of the game because of the whining (even their bench players whines) i end up cheering for the Spurs. And i thought people are just exaggerating about their whining ways. hell they will probably whine that the whistle aren't loud enough just to complain about something.

Spurs are "out of sorts", it's just who they are. And don't tell me Crawford is playing to his potential right now.

You make it sound like it a good thing that the Spurs aren't dominating the Clips...like that means they will soon.

    Clippers.

Spurs are just too good in execution. Too smart.

Clippers are dumb as rocks and I think we can take advantage of that. I don't see us outsmarting the Spurs. As much as I like Dwight, he doesn't have the biggest IQ around.

The Spurs just look old now, and they're never as hungry the year after they win a championship. Splitter, Green, Manu and Parker have all be flat awful against the Clippers. Only Timmy, Kawhi, Mills and Bellinelli are playing well. Diaw's outside shot is broken. Jet/Prigs have a fighting chance against Parker (who looks broken down) and Mills (who isn't fast or quick). Harden, Ariza, Brewer >> Leonard, Green, Ginobli at the wings. DH12, TJ, JSmoove can easily hold their own with Timmy, Splitter, Diaw. The Spurs are always better as a unit than the sum of their collective parts, but they DON'T appear hungry, clutch or in-sync right now. I'd MUCH rather face the Spurs than Clippers.

I think Spurs. They have gotten a little lucky in this series, and the Rockets just do badly against the Clippers.

And of course, should be rooting HARD for Memphis.

No more Root sports....they only get the first round IIRC. TNT has the rights to most of this series.

You gotta wanna play, and beat, whoever wins that series or you're too scared to think we can beat either, considering how even it has been.

It's a toss up anyway, really. Spurs are older and more tired, and the Cilppers lack depth. Gotta think you can beat whoever wins.

What gives me optimism is that I have never known the Spurs to be 6 games into the playoffs without clicking on all cylinders already. I don't buy the argument that they would be better than this against us.

However, they are a much much much better team than the Mavs we almost swept. I think the Clippers are just as good. We probably match up best with the Clippers, but I'm starting to feel like we can beat both these teams handily if we take the first two games. Clippers don't have the depth and Spurs don't have the legs to withstand two consecutive long series against a team that won more games and has home court advantage.

I think the main thing that makes me prefer the Clippers is I don't want to see the Spurs start hacking us from their team bus all the way to the final whistle. Would really take the life out of the game, makes it hard to be excited.

Why should the Rox even show up to play in the next series? From reading most of the comments in this thread a lot of people feel this is just a formality and that whoever the Rox meet have an easy road to the WCF against the 2 seeded Rox. And people wonder why no one outside of Houston gives the team a chance. The Rox are not chopped liver and they have the home court in the series as well. Houston fans are just used to failure. I'm starting to believe in the team more than I did before the playoffs started so I feel they have a good chance against either the Spurs or Clips. The main team left in the playoffs I feel the Rox probably will be hard pressed to beat in a series is GSW.

I don't understand why people say the Clippers are the better "matchup".

I don't think the Clippers are close to the Spurs in mentality or discipline or chess match basketball.
But most of our advantage comes from being athletic and quick. The Clippers have the same level of athleticism on their team.

From a matchup perspective, I have to believe that Howard-Splitter, and a banged up Tony Parker are much more favorable matchups than Howard-Jordan and CP3 annihilating our backcourt.

Rebounding is extremely critical, and I like Howard-Jones-Smith against Splitter-Duncan on the boards more than Jordan-Griffin.
