I heard a rumor Blue Bell is sending all employees home with pay for a 40 hour week until they come up with a solution. It sounds like they are fixing to have a major clean up and plant renovations.
i imagine blue bell is like many other large companies that distribute products from other companies/competitors. basically distribution and manufacturing are quite separated.

I've seen rumors that Blue Bell is back up and running again. I've also seen (more probable) reports that Blue Bell will restart production within the next few weeks.
major fail. Blue Bell is not available up north and certainly not Baltimore. The newspaper machine in the video.....TEXARKANA Gazette.
i've seen enough the wire to know aint nobody from b-more talkin' like he from Refugio. i wish the video was real though. i miss the chocolate cookie dough but heb has a nice one too.
Blue Bell knew they could kill someone. http://www.chron.com/business/article/Blue-Bell-knew-about-listeria-contamination-feds-6249023.php
His source for that story was an attorney that makes a living on lawsuits against the industry. He billed him as a food safety expert. The attorney calls himself the "E. coli Lawyer"
The lawyer provides some quotes for the article. The main source is an official report released by the FDA.
As soon as I heard there were listeria samples found at a second plant, I knew this has been an issue for years, this won't put them out of business though. Even though they have been knowingly putting your children's lives in jeopardy.
Is this affecting anyone else's appetite for ice cream, in general? I was recently with someone who randomly wanted ice cream, and we weren't even in the Borden/blue bell house brand etc. section. But I didn't even want the organic , premium, advanced flavor combos etc. in the fancy isle. Not consciously, but I assume indirect damage from this fiasco, wasn't interested. Thanks blue bell. & Obama.
