I've just read through a few pages of this thread and there is some very disturbing stuff here. People supporting killing LE, others talking about needing to clean the gene pool... On top of that the usual misinformation and ignorance.

 

Clearly you don't understand. Saying that people who are acting like animals are acting like animals, or calling them animals for the way they are behaving is in no way racist because the race of the people is irrelevant to their actions. It could be people of any race acting in that manner and I'd say the same. Implying that someone is a racist simply because of their race or nationality is nowhere near the same thing.

Anyway, I seriously hope you take a look at yourself and decide to become a better person because we don't need more racism in the world. Be better.

For anyone that took any time to research it, the Baltimore police have a pretty poor record on brutality and illegality. It's basically a laundry list of indictments, corruption, and city pay offs to victims. Of course "the blacks" rioting is a much more fitting talking point for the usual suspects here rather than some actual attempt to look at the issues in Baltimore.

 

I clearly understand that calling people animals is reserved for dark skin people. A white woman kills 5 of her kids, or a white man blows up a federal building, or white folks F up the economy for everybody... Different story.

 

I'm pretty sure every insult in the book has been hurled at the woman who murdered five kids and those responsible for the recession.

Did you muster up this much fake anger when those kids were murdered? Or did that not matter because the case didn't fit your agenda?

 

Arresting people for breaking the law isn't "treating them like animals" it's actually treating them like people living in a civil society.....maybe that's not for everyone though.

Can you read? Do you even know what the words you are typing mean? Of course my last observation was an anecdote, but unlike Sweet Lou I never claimed it was universal or drew macro-level conclusions using these observations. Therefore, it was not used as anecdotal evidence.

I was simply correcting Sweet Lou's factually faulty post and pointing out the difficulties I personally have with claims that all of the ills plaguing the black community stem from racial inequality. And, because I'm not sure myself, I was legitimately questioning when or in what situations it would be appropriate to say that any particular black person's lot in life is more a result of their poor decisions than social conditions. Because it seems like you can't say that about any African-American these days without being perceived as a bigot, even though logically this has to be true for at least some black people as it is in every other group of people.

In the end, you're arguing with the wrong person bud. I "cry" personal responsibility for everyone, but I recognize systemic disadvantages have a serious effect. Unfortunately, I have trouble equating not wanting to wear a rubber with being born in a country in civil war.
