What was amazing was this morning on the ESPN.com front page in their "headlines box" the FIRST headline was of the Rockets Emoji post. THE FIRST HEADLINE!

I thought the tweet was in poor taste, but NO WAY should this be a HUGE story. Amazing.

But somehow, people think saying "Houston, we have a problem" is all kinds of funny. I guess it was hilarious, when it was originally said..

I wouldn't be surprised if Cuban complained to the front office about it.

they'll come up with anything to not talk about how well the rockets are playing. aka rondo

Unfortunate. One of the best NBA social media presences out there.

Any other team would be lucky to scoop him up.

BTW, I thought the Houston Rockets social media account was very good. I especially loved the Graphics made for each game.

While I personally think this is asinine, from a professional standpoint I see why they did it. Too many people (most that I saw were Dallas affiliated) were either offended or claimed they were offended as backlash from losing the series. The account does represent the entire organization, and more often than not you need to toe the company line. It's a lot like the cliche sound bytes the players give. If any player had dropped something akin to this in an interview, good chance they get a PR lecture.

If the media hadn't blown that up the kid probably wouldn't have been fired. Sad, because he has great stuff. Wishing him all the best and will keep my eyes and ears open.

    That is ridiculous.

It was a joke. And a good one at that. People are way to sensitive now.

    Why have a twitter then?

Why not just do press releases only.

I wouldn't last more than a few minutes if I was running the Rockets twitter account.
