    Congratulations, Kevin.

In his more recent press conferences, he's been a lot more open about how he actually coaches and works with the guys, and it's made me respect him so much more than I did before. I can see why the players like him, and it's not because he gives them an easy time. He seems to genuinely care for them. Here's hoping for a first second-round win and a first conference win and first championship win for the coach.

First season with Harden was nice. We almost forgot what having a superstar on the team looked like.

Man as much as I'm loving this season it feels even better too Kniw this is going to be for a while not just this year. We got harden who's the real MVP and best player in the game and the reality is he hasn't even hit his prime yet he's still 25.

It's rare when u get a player of his caliber on your team and I really wasn't expecting to have another Hakeem type talent when we acquired him. But in all seriousness this guy has a chance to have the same impact on the game Hakeem did for the rockets 25 years ago.

I can't believe so many on this board were crucifying this guy a year ago wanting to trade him for Kevin freaking love. Smh

Great job, adjusting very quick in games with substitutions and calling time-outs a lot better are two of the things I've noticed recently. He's leaving groups in there who are hot and does not let a little midget cause us to start Brewer or something along those lines. Glad he showed faith in our guys and was not happy, even when up 3-0 because of our lack of defense. Now he can finally relax and let's hope players lay it all on the line in the 2nd round.

Even Pop said today: players are the ones who make the plays. McHale did his part and then some, though I will never be oblivious to his flaws of not forcing the team to run good plays to get good shots for the likes of Terry and Ariza and allowing guys to jack up threes. He needs to take control of the team a bit more and he's even shown improvement there, because he ran and called some great plays tonight (out of time-outs). This is why Webber was great, he pays attention to those type of things and called them out.

I apologize to McHale for wanting him gone in the past. in the past to me he was moreys biggest mistake. I admit I was wrong and will eat crow. McHale still hasn't accomplished the main task yet which is win a ring for the rockets. However he has really impressed me this season. The rockets had the 2nd hardest schedule in the league, in the hardest division in the league and I believe top 5 impacted by injury. Yet the rockets made it out top of their division and 3rd in the league. Not only that but his player relation and development is underrated and amazing. He allows players to succeed and some have played their best basketball as a rocket. Brewer, Josh Smith and how about the ones we drafted tjones, dmo, capela. Dmo is a different player than when he first got here. Theres also harden, who I think you have to give credit to both harden and the coach for his improvement. Harden is a different player then he was on okc. McHale allowed him to not only be a scorer but also a playmaker. Not every coach really utilize their players to their best, just look at the mavs coach who's a great coach but couldn't utilize Rondo. Carlisle is a good X and O coach imo, McHale is a good players coach.

And to think.. people wanted him gone. He's a good coach, unorthodox, but gets to some players no one else could. That's what it's all about.

We have to thank Carlisle for challenging our coaches and players to respond to the different schemes the Mavs were throwing out there. This series was good preparation for the 2nd round.

Good adjustments after the Game 4 loss. 1) We got killed in transition 2) Barea pick and roll gutted us 3) Mavs O-Reb's put the nail in our coffin 4) We stopped running the offense and played Iso ball for 8 minutes.

Don't have the numbers in front of me, but it seems all of that was fixed in Game 5. The real test is ahead (for the entire team), but a 4-1 start is about as good as it gets.

Pretty ballsy to play an unknown quantity in Capela as the back-up big. Gave him simple assignments which he was successful at--pnr and rebounds.

Coaches were able to get the bigs to have poise while shooting FTs during hack-a-whoever. Thought that would be our downfall. It is obvious that even when we're missing, the team doesn't get frustrated or rattled. That's coaching. It seems guys were told it's ok to shoot 1/2 otherwise crash the boards.

im not at all mad about his coaching this round. He became a way better playoff coach. If he can hold his own against pop then he just might after all be deserving of his extension.

1st time to make it out of the first round in the last 5 years! Feels good man. Thank you McHale, Morey and Les for putting together the team we have today.

Fun fact I found when looking up our playoff history and stuff.

In the last 30 years/seasons we have been .500 or above for all of but 3 seasons, that's a lot of winning, pretty amazing.
