The Rockets simply did not show up last night ready for a fight. Once the Mavs showed they didn't want to get swept, the Rockets folded versus getting drawn into a fight. Game 5 should be different and the rotations will be more crisp. The Rockets got heavy doses of JJ in game 2 and played good defense. For whatever reason, they lost focus these past two games but stole game 3 and got a wake up call in game 4.

Howard hasn't been part of closing out a series in awhile and Harden has never closed out a series as the leader of a team. It's a learning experience and I expect them to be quick studies and come out ready to put the Mavs away tomorrow. The shenanigans the Mavs used won't fly on the road like the refs allowed last night.

You know what is freaking depressing? To talk about Barea as if he was the second coming of a young Nash. Really disturbing that none of our pgs are able to check "such a speedy and shifty" pg.

I just want game 5 to be over with so we could talk about something else.

Brewer was switched to JJ in the second quarter. This was a team effort in futility last night. Sometimes, I wish McHale could suit up just to clothesline Dirk or Chandler to send a message. The Mavs are a cheap dirty team and the Rockets need to respond in force tomorrow by taking the fight to them for 48 minutes. That isn't coaching, the players have to take responsibility as well.

This! Barea is an old, slow, fat point guard. Under no circumstances should he be getting into the paint without recourse.

DMo's pick and roll defense is sorely needed in this series.

How's Wolverine feeling these days? Can he play with a cast on his hand? Like one with pop-out titanium claws?

Lol statements like this are hilarious to me. For one jj isn't a scrub, for two neither one of our geriatric pg's can stay in front of him. What is "mental" about that?

This is what it all comes down to. Our team went through the motions after building a 10 point lead and the Mavs fought hard and got the crowd into it. getting beat on the glass with Howard, Smith and Ariza on this team screams low effort.

Glad we got spanked. This team has a real issue with focus for 48 minutes. They won't be lacking focus on Tuesday.

This. Jsmith is horrible on PnR defense. DMo is one of the best at keeping the ball handler from turning the corner and then dropping back on his man.

How do we fix guard penetration? Bring back Beverley. Oh I forgot most of you hate him and his defense is "overrated". All this while JJ Barea's looking like CP3 now:rolleyes:

This better get resolved tomorrow or the Rockets will be playing back in Dallas on Thursday. It is up to the team to adjust to what the Mavs did last night and get the W. Ellis has be on fire at home with his first b2b 30 pts in the playoffs. Rockets should get the W IF they come out focused for the full 48 minutes and not let up on the Mavs when they have down, go for the kill.

How do we fix guard penetration? I guess buying them all Viagra wouldn't do the trick.

We give up leads too easily and think we could get back into the game like we did in Game 3.

We gotta fight every possession. Just too random on offense. It's up to Harden to take charge. And impose his will even when he doesn't have a good shooting game.

having our bigs hedge harder, guards actually fighting to get back to their man, and a weakside rotation to cover the roller.

    instead, we lazily switch.

also, can we please double dirk? he clearly has problems passing out of them because of our length. turns into a steal most often

It's sad and frustrating that it takes "getting spanked" to regain focus in a playoff game.

Dallas made shots and played hard, but the Rockets allowed the Mavs to come back and blow it up. I agree that this will not happen tomorrow night. Live and Learn.......

Agreed with the "start Brewer" suggestions. Dallas usually has an okay bench, but since Rondo / Parsons are out, their bench is pretty crappy by virtue of having Barea and Aminu be starters.

Don't stoop to Mavs fans' level. They were suggesting the same thing after game 1, regarding Harden.

They were making some pretty absurd floaters over our bigs. Our rotation seemed just a half-step slow.

Hopefully the team is watching a lot of footage because our D has looked pretty bad all series.

So better dont search for "Barea wife" on Google....

Then compare her to your wife/gf and think which animal name is matching for you...ops
