Berman just reported that Pike's agent says they have reached a verbal agreement with the Rockets. more details as they become available.. I didnt get the money part...sorry
i think he'll be a much better fit than posey, think of all the weakside 3's he will nail that posey couldn't
He may not be the big ticket, but after last season's shooting woes.....it(the possible signing) sure as hell aint a bad thing.
You think Piatkowski is our big ticket to the playoffs?!?!? Man I have got to admire that kind of optimism.
nobody...methinks he misunderstood what was said.. dont they teach attention to all the words in a sentence these days?
Solid bench player. Can shoot lights out, is not totally deficient at defense or other facets of the game. Hope we got him cheap.
i'm not a big fan of pike, but i give he credit, he's a hard working player w/ alot of hustle from what i saw and had a good shot.....i guess he'll be back 2/3....but i think this signing will hinder boki's progress and playing time....
The big tickets to the playoffs goe by the names "Yao Ming" and "Steve Francis." The Rockets don't need to try to acquire any other big names. The goal should be to make Yao Ming better, which means building around Yao Ming. You get players who make Yao better. A shooter like Pike makes Yao better. Think of the championship Rockets built around Hakeem. Now imagine if Hakeem had Francis. Yao has Francis. Now let's see if we can improve Yao to Hakeem's level.
The question remains: who is the Rocket's starting 3? Everyone hoping that we sign Stephen Jackson now? Or is there someone else we're looking for.
Well, when you have a Final's series as excellent as he had - you have to expect it. Even though his team lost, he was clearly the Nets second best player after Jason Kidd. In conclusion, if anyone gives Jackson something we cannot, they will regret it.
heres the details from Rileydog's thread... codell, I've spent more time on here, and less doing anything else..I will drop back into nothingness once I get well...
