He does a little jive step because he's involved in the game. The way fans imitate their favorite player shooting or rebounding a ball while watching the game live...

What would have happened with that. Technical foul?

Harden should have just pelted the coach.

WTH. Why is Dirk is poppin' and lockin' on the court! He was too busy bustin' a move to guard Ariza.

Yeah there's nothing really there...he's coaching Dirk, not interfering with any pass. Harden isnt even trying to pass it, not at that moment anyway.

Perhaps he shouldn't have been on the court, but at that moment everyone knows Harden is just working the clock down. Ariza could have stepped over and acted like it was an issue to draw attention to it..but that's not the best time to distract Harden.

    Perfect game 4:

We thrash them by 30 points by the half. Harden has a triple double and Dwight has a double-double. Both sit out the entire second half and the third quarter is just ESPN/TNT panning out to the arena lobby filming all the douche Maverick fans leaving en masse.

Cuban commits seppuku in the middle of the court and Dirk retires at halftime. Rondo gets his revenge and jumps Carlisle in the lockerroom post-game. Oklahoma annexes the Dallas. Dallas is sold and the team is moved to Seattle while retaining none of Mavericks history.

    -------------

In all seriousness, I'll be happy to watch that overrated Carlisle coach the team when he is forced to build the team around Chandler Parsons.

And Dirk literally looks like he needs to go to the bathroom. He'd be so done, if he was a few inches shorter.

Honestly, this series has made me respect Dirk more. I have no idea how the hell he remains a relevant player with his mobility issues let alone put up big offensive numbers.

Maybe we win this year and Dirk signs for the vet min off the bench when his contract is up for us. ;)

True, it is pretty weak. I have a feeling that we'd have a different opinion if the shot didn't go in.

LOL I love McHale! That play was probably a tad dirty as well. At least he wasn't on the court though. I don't think the assistant was trying to "coach" Dirk here. He's a dinosaur, he nows what the hell he needs to do on a play. It looks like the asst. coach is trying to fake like he is going to jump in and intercept the pass. Maybe just trying to get in Harden's head...? I don't know. But him being on the court right in front of Ariza while the gameclock is running, should automatically result in a tech. Whether it was dirty or not.

The coach stepped on the court which shouldn't be allowed but no way Harden is passing from side of the court to the other anyway. Dirk might be slow but even he intercepts that pass. He was dekeing to bait Harden into that pass by making him think he was to clog the middle on a drive attempt. That was a dunk attempt by Howard if the Mavs botched the switch or a step back from Harden.

That coach could have been hugging Ariza and it would have had zero affect on the outcome of that play.

Harden didn't even need to do anything. If Ariza just side stepped over to his left and bumped into that coach and exaggerated contact we would've gotten to shoot technical free throws.

Jason Kidd did something similar IIRC.

He's trying his best to move on defense and it doesn't come naturally to defend for him.
