people always overreact to every damn bit of news.

to borrow some of what JVG said

every day you wake up Yao Ming is still 7'5 and the 2nd best center in basketball and he plays for the rockets. :D

The Rockets must make some moves or next season will be another "wait till next year season". I don't believe that the Rockets will stand still and not make any moves. If they think they have a team that can make the playoffs next year they are kidding themselves. The team has no bench help.

Every day you wake up you realize the Rockets start two guards who won't wake up.

I'm praying to God that the Rockets have something big up their sleeves. No, not just Piatowski. Pike may be PART of something big, but this team needs to improve.

We have the worst 2 starting F's in the Western conference, MAYBE aside from Denver.

It's time to spend some moolah, and deal with either Portland (Wallace) or Miami (Grant, Jones).

These teams are locked for the playoffs:

    Lakers
    San Antonio
    Minnesotta
    Dallas
    Sacramento
    Portland

The Suns finished above us, and they haven't lost any players. Aside from this, their record without Penny was around .300 while their record with him was a 6th seed. They will only get better because, just like Yao, Amare will improve tremendously.

The Sonics, I believe, lost nothing. But they had enormous room for improvement because their core is also very young. No doubt, their backcourt is better than last season, and their PF situation is also better (Collison and other draft pick, I think Gaines?). I don't see how much betetr than these guys we are.

The only way we improve is to either add a 3rd star, or remove one of our scorers to put the ball into Yao and Steve's hands more often. We can't have both MoT and Cat on the floor, because it takes touches away from Yao and Steve. I'd rather get rid of Cat because MoT shoots a much higher %, and is effective at 15ppg, which is where we want Cat to be. The catch to this is that, the SG and the SF have to be unselfish and VERY hardworking players.

Why didn't the Kings or Pacers get some other under the cap team involved instead of the Spurs? The Kings might have to pay for this trade since they saved the Spurs offseason and next offseason not to mention the digruntled former players they have to face against should they meet in next years playoffs.

    It doesn't make any sense.

Not to mention yet another trade where the West got some of the East's talent with nothing in return. Ron Mercer and Brad Miller for Danny Ferry? Good Grief!

The East will be lucky to win 40% of their games against the West next year.

We might do OK in the East, maybe Les and VG are trying to move the team to the Eastern Conference, that would be easier than trying to keep up with the big boys in the West:rolleyes:

    Its gonna get UGLY:eek:

I can't believe we're the only team in the west strapped with cap problems, the other teams are making CD look like a preschooler, heck the teams thats been in the finals are still paying out for players and making moves and they have just as high or more profile players as we do, considering they were in the playoffs their players should be paid higher for performance.

Heck, why couldn't we talk a player or two to take the min to get a chance to play for the great VG and with the up & coming (forever) YOUNG Rocket  players.

Whatever, it takes the mystery out of the season for us, maybe not, I suppose we could take odds on if we better our record from last year.......highly unlikely considering its tougher a lot tougher in the west now.
